"What do you mean I can't leave?!" Lukas stared at Dr. Køhler (quick thing, I usually update on my laptop, but when I'm on my phone, I use the correct o for Køhler).
Clearly he didnt want to be here longer than he had to.
"Well, unless you plan on having another siezure without help, I suggest you stay here," Dr. Køhler looked at Lukas, his smile gone.
'But I have to get ahold of Emil' Lukas thought.
"But, I have to get ahold of my brother and I left my phone at home," Lukas said. Though his face and voice lacked feeling, his eyes showed something.
Pain and sadness.
Mathias stared at his patient, he hated illnesses like this. They cause memory loss which means it's hard to remember phone numbers.
"Well..I'm really not supposed to do this, but if you have a neighbor you could call, they could bring you your phone," The Dane explained.
Lukas seemed to be thinking for a moment, "Well, there's Arthur," he shrugged. "But, I don't remember his phone number," Lukas looked down, playing with his fingers.
"Well, what's his last name and I can pull up any reports that he may have here and use his phone number from there," Mathias smiled softly at the other.
Lukas thought for a while, "Arthur...." He muttered, "Arthur Kirkland," he said, looking back up.
Mathias nodded, standing up, "Okay, give me a few minutes and your phone should be here." He smiled brightly.
~Lukas' POV~
When Mathias left the room, I thought for a while.
Does Emil think I'm okay?
Will they find Arthur's number?
What am I feeling?
I don't even know anymore. I've forgotten what it's like to smile, to laugh, to be happy.
The last time I was happy was when...was....I actually forget..
I waited for Dr. Køhler to come back.
In the meanwhile, I sat up, looking around.
They were giving me morphine in an IV. Though, when you're used to a lot more powerful pain medications, it's not helpful at all.
I just want to go home so I can talk to Emil...
~Mathias' POV~
I felt bad for Lukas. Apparently he had no family, but I really wondered who this Emil person was.
Anyway, after a few minutes of research, I found the phone number for the Kirkland residents.
Apparently he came in a lot due to kitchen related accidents and reports of 'black magic backfires.'
Whatever that means...
Anyway I called the number.
"'Ello?" A male's voice said.
"Hello, is this Mr. Kirkland?" I asked.
"This is he, may I ask who's calling?"
"This is Dr. Køhler, from the hospital, and I have your neighbor, Lukas, here," I paused, "He was wondering if you could bring him his phone?"
"Where would it be?"
"One moment, I'll find out," I asked one of my nurses and they came back.
"Sir, he said it'd be in his living room."
I nodded and gave the information.
He soon showed up with the phone and I smiled.
I brought him the phone, but freaked out only to find him seizing again.
"Dammit, Lukas," I muttered.
"Room 17, patient is seizing again!" I yelled down the hall.
Today is going to be a long one.
~3rd person POV~
After a long five minutes of Lukas seizing and Mathias and his team working to stop, it finally worked.
Lukas was resting and Mathias was sitting at the computer in the room, doing a report on his other patients.
After a while, Lukas had woken up, coughing.
Mathias spun the chair around, standing up, sighing, "Are you okay?"
Lukas just nodded, sitting up.
The Dane nodded, handing the other his phone, "Arthur brought it right before you started seizing," he explained.
"Thanks.." Lukas took it, unlocking it. "Can I...um call him now..?"
Mathias nodded, "Yes, but I really can't leave you in the room alone, for fear of another seizure," he looked at the other.
Lukas nodded, "Okay..."
He went to his contacts pulling up his brother's number.
~Lukas' POV~
Emil took not even two ring to pick up...he seemed worried.
"Lukas? Are you okay? You haven't answered any of my calls!"
"I'm fine Emil..It happened again though," hopefully he knew what I was talking about.
"How many times?" He sounded worried.
"Twice," I was still emotionless.
I could hear Emil sighed.
"Where are you now?"
"The hospital.."
Emil sighed again, "Okay, I want you to keep me updated on your condition."
"I..I will," I forgot what I was going to say for a moment.
"Okay, I have to go, Leon has a meeting today and I have to come," he said, "I love you, be careful big brother."
"Love you too, I'll be safe, bye," I heard him hang up.
I sighed. I miss him.
Dr. Køhler looked at me, "That was short."
"His boyfriend had a meeting he had to tag along," I shrugged, putting my phone in my pocket.
Dr. Køhler stared at me in disbelief.
"What? Never heard of same sex relationships?" I asked, staring back.
Dr. Køhler shrugged, "It's really none of my business. But, I do want you to know that doesn't bother me," he smiled.
"Why's that? Are you athestic or something?" I crossed my arms, but quickly uncrossed them, it being painful.
"Nope," he said sing-songy, going over his notes again, writing something down.
"Then what is it?" I was getting irratated.
He wrote another thing down.
"I really shouldn't discuss this with patients," Dr. Køhler shrugged.
"Ugh! Then why did you say it in the first place?" I went to cross my arms again, but quickly rethought that, remembering the pain.
I sighed and looked at my doctor, sighing, "You shouldn't have said anything then, it's bothering me."
"Fine do you really want to know?" He questioned, staring me in the eye.
I thought for a moment, "Of course, that's why I asked!" I stared at him.
"Fine, I'm gay."
