Admithis: [noun] "High Arcanese", the language of the Arcana.
Arcana, the: [noun] a group of beings with the ability to weave the Fate of Worlds. Divided into four Houses-Pentacles, Wands, Cups, and Swords-and ruled by the Major Arcana. Worship the goddess Fate.
Arcane World: [noun] Home World of the Arcana, highest of the Otherworlds.
Avshandra: [noun] "World Jumper", a person with the ability to travel between Worlds. Typically has some form of psychic power.
· Known members: Solomon (ex-king), the Sidhé (member of the Seelie Court), Chesh (member of Wonderland's Rose Court), Saroya (Spiritual Conjurer, Soul-Song Witch)
Babasfrastic: [adjective] from Wonderland slang, meaning "dire, or serious".
Blood-Born Witches: [noun] a sect of Vile Conjurer who consumes the flesh of humans, keeping them alive for long periods of time as they eat them alive.
Carnival: [noun] a fanatical Human organization focused on keeping Humans from finding out about the Otherworlds. Controls all traffic coming in and out of the Human World, and is known for its particularly harsh punishments. Rumored to be named because they see dealing with the Otherworlds as working with "circus freaks".
Corvinaka: [noun] "Ace Blade" a weapon wielded by the Ace of each Arcane House.
Dead Realms, the: [noun] Home World of those who die. Made up of the afterlives of every religion that exists among the Otherworlds. Managed by the Reapers.
Demons Keep, the: [noun] Home World of the Demons. Known by many names-Hell, Hades, Samsara, The Bardo. The Lowest of the Otherworlds
Ekelneran: [noun] "Fate's Weapons", a magical amplifier invented by the Arcana to enable each House to use the magic of others.
Ekelnium: [noun] "the Essence of Fate", the only naturally occurring metal in the Arcane World, used to forge the Ekelneran.
Faerie: [noun] Home World of the Fae. A wooded World, split in half by the Seelie and Unseelie Courts. The Seelie is a bright, but deadly side, while the Unseelie is darker, but less likely to kill visitors.
Fae, the: [noun] inhabitants of Faerie. Known for their magic and their cunning.
Flutterwumpet: [adjective] from Wonderland slang, meaning "fool"
Frumious: [adjective] from Wonderland slang. Typically translates to "filthy" or used in the context of "something is not right"
God Realms, the: [noun] Home World of immortal beings known as Gods. Sealed off from the rest of the Otherworlds by a dimension barrier.
Heaven: [noun] Home World of the Angels. Also known by various names-Paradise, Eden, and Nirvana. Sealed off from the Otherworlds by a dimension barrier.
House of Cups: [noun] the nearly extinct House led by Ace Gwin Ceasca. Keeper of the corvinaka Beltinaris, wielders of the element Water. Symbol is the red heart.
· Known members: Guinevere "Gwin" Ceasca (Ace)
House of Pentacles: [noun] Rebel House currently ruling the Arcane World. Keeper of the corvinaka Vilnirata, wielders of the element of Earth. Led by Ace Alyssa Serdtse. Symbol is the red diamond.

House of Swords: [noun] led by Ace Elizabeth Fier. Keeper of the corvinaka Asitr, wielders of the element Wind. Symbol is the black spade.

House of Wands: [noun] led by Ace Cassius Perete. Keeper of the corvinaka Korlitarum, wielders of the element of Fire. Symbol is the black club.

Human World, the: [noun] relatively magic-less World where the Humans live, controlled by the organization Carnival. Groups with magic and who know of the Otherworlds include the Wiccans and the Free Masons.
Major Arcana: [noun] ruling House of the Arcane World, gifted with the powers of the Lady Fate. Currently in hiding from the House of Pentacles after a rebellion that nearly destroyed the Arcane World. Symbol is the golden sun.

Malikah: [noun] Arabic word for "My Queen", or "My Lady"
Neither Prison, the: [noun] a maximum security prison located in the Space Between Worlds. No one is able to escape, because the prison literally sucks the life from its occupants. Named because it is "Neither here, nor there".
Notr Mithista: [noun] "Major Arcana", translated from High Arcanese.
Otherworlds, the: [noun] a term used to refer to all Worlds except the one the speaker is currently on.
Pandaemonium: [noun] Capital of the Demon Keep, seat of power of the Infernal Council. Ruled by the demon Satan, the Prince of Darkness.
Reapers, the: [noun] beings who harvest the souls of the dead, sort them into their correct afterlives, and manage the Dead Realms.
Sauce-box: [noun] from Wonderland slang, meaning "mouth"
Seelie Court, the: [noun] the Fae Court that is considered the lighter counterpart to the Unseelie. Known for its intolerance and secrets, seen as the less trustworthy of the two Fae Courts. Ruled by Queen Titania, sister of Mab, the Queen of Light and Life.
Soul-Song Witches: [noun] a sect of Spiritual Conjurers known for their healing and psychic abilities.
Space Between Worlds, the: [noun] the void between each World. Legend says that the Lady Fate was born from its darkness and returned to it when her work was complete.
Spiritual Conjurers: [noun] magicians who use their own mental and spiritual powers to harness magic. Typically have psychic powers.
Thin Places: [noun] a place where the barriers between Worlds is thin enough for the Avshandra to create a path through. Very few of these places exist on each World.
Traitor's Moss: [noun] a poisonous variety of moss that grows in the presence of Fae who have betrayed other Fae, typically for a crime like treason.
Unseelie Court, the: [noun] the Fae court known for its devious nature and its honesty. Typically recognized as the more trustworthy of the two Fae Courts. Ruled by Queen Mad, the Bringer of Dreams and the Queen of Air and Darkness.
Vile Conjurers: [noun] magicians who gain their magical ability from the body part of other creatures, such as flesh, blood, or bone.
Vilmir Astrata: [noun] "the Card City", capital of the Arcane World, seat of Arcane power.
Vorpal: [noun] magic repelling metal from Wonderland. One of the strongest, hardest materials in all the Otherworlds. Ideal for making weapons because of its light weight, but incredibly rare.
Witch Kingdoms, the: [noun] Home World of all Witch varieties. A very great, very dismal swamp.
Wonderland: [noun] Home World of the Wonderlanders. Split into three courts; the Red Court, ruled by Arisae "The Bloody Red Queen" Red, the White Court, ruled by Winter White, and the Rose Court, ruled by Aliss Lidell. An industrial society, typically at war, known for its magic 'Imagination'.
