Chapter 3: Part 4

Arjhay's POV

We went to the garden and I started searching the vegetation for anything that can be used in cooking. I uprooted a little sprout I found nearby.

"Uhmm, what are you doing?", asked Erliane. I pulled one of it's leaves, then showed them the soil covered swelled root of the small sprout, the size of a ball.

"What's that thing?", exclaimed Eljake. "It's called 'Lump Root', ideal for making simple sauces and garnish.", I explained. "Hold it.", I threw it to Eljake who barely managed to catch the heavy root.

I saw a plant that has thin body and leaves near me. I picked a handful of it and gave to Erliane. "It's name is 'season grass'.", I told her.

I plucked some butter flowers and gave them to Illiana. I told her the name, in case she asks.

"Okay guys, let's go to the kitchen.", I told them. After reaching the room, I disinfected all of us with a thin antiseptic bubble without them noticing. "Let's see...", I said after opening their fridge. "Can I use half of the meat and fish? Also the vegetables?", I asked. Erliane volunteered to cook rice while the others set the table.

"Yes, that's the dinner.", Jerimuel replied while cleaning the root. I pulled out the tupperwares and washed them. I got some garlion (garlic-onion) and chopped them quickly with a knife I found in a corner.

I the garlion and the cubed meat. Herimuel gave me the root and I placed it above the pan. With a quick motion with a knife, I cut the root in half and let the large amount of liquid flow in to the mixture. I poured some ingredients in it, including three fourths of the root I chopped. I left it to boil.

I deep fried the fish fillets, covered in light batter with the grass. I placed the vegetable in a large heat proof bowl, added some ingredients in it, and the flower. After mixing it, I placed it in the oven to bake it.

After all the foods are cooked, I placed them in serving plates and let the others place it in the table. We finished cooking before seven.

"I think your sister's late.", I said while cleaning the mess on the kitchen. "She seems so.", Jerimuel replied.

There was a light knock on the door. "Let me open it.", I volunteered. I held the handle of the door, sighed and opened the door.

"Welcome back, Mr and Mrs Bartillan. To you too, Jerimuel's sister.", I greeted them. "Oh, hi! Where's Jerimuel?", Mrs Bartillan asked.

"He's inside ma'am.", I said while opening the door fully, letting them enter the house. "You've prepared dinner! Good!", Mr. Bartillan exclaimed.

After we sat in the table, Illiana volunteered to lead the prayer. I prayed as well. "So, let's eat!", Mrs. Bartillan exclaimed.

"How does it taste mom?", Jerimuel asked after her mother ate a piece of meat. "How... extraordinary! This tastes like those I eat in the fancy restaurants! How did you do this?", she exclaimed.

"Arjhay made all of them. We just helped in some preparations.", Jerimuel replied. "Its so delicious Arjhay! How did you do this?", she asked me.

"Well, it's basically a stew but the taste was improved by a plant called 'Lump Root' we picked in your garden.", I replied.

The entire dinner, for me was full with questions I needed to answer to satisfy their curiosity. They seemed to be amazed by the new cooking techniques I told them. Once in a while, I always catch Jerimuel's sister, Queenie, taking pictures of me or us which kind of intrigued me but I shrugged off the thought.

After dinner, I helped my friends review and at midnight, we fixed ourselves to sleep. I made a bubble for myself and slept inside it.

Early Sunday morning came and we prepared to go home. I walked to home and had a bath there and changed my attire.

I just practiced my second power that day with my two guardians but just like before, we had no clue on what's happening to us.

Monday came quickly and before I knew it, I'm now watching my classmates take the dreadful exam. I excused myself and went around the school, Aqua following me.

Third and last day of the exam, Wednesday and here I am again, watching my classmates take the last exam, Training.

In here, our training teacher will watch us take half written test and half physical test. Physical test includes your power rating and magic damage.

A Power rating is rated by the use of an object called Power meter that displays numerical value of the power used after being hit with magic. To pass the Magic damage, a student must destroy an object with the use of magic. I tried both and I reached the 8 thousand mark on the power rating and destroyed the metallic statue.

All of us passed but some have barely passed the exams, meaning no one will be dropped out of the SC.

Thursday morning, recess time, we are in our favorite place again. "Now what to do.", Erliane said. "Let's talk about love.", Illiana asked. "Last month's the month of love, move on already!", Jenrich exclaimed.

"Yeah right.", Illiana replied. "What's your plan on vacation?", I asked them. "Well, I'm just gonna go back to our house in the main continent.", Erliane said. "I'm just gonna stay in our house or plan something.", Jerimuel said. The other three seemed to do the same, too.

"How about you?", Eljake asked me. The truth is, I don't know. "Maybe I'll wait for any opportunities that comes to go somewhere.", I replied.

I ate my sandwich and sipped my juice. "When will ma'am announce the ranking again?", I asked. "Next week Monday, she will also have a meeting with our parents on the same date.", she replied.

"Ms. Yuu, can you attend our parents' meeting on Monday?", I said on the phone as I dialled her number. "Of course, Prince Arjhay. May I know the schedule?", she asked.

"It's one in the afternoon on Monday. SC Room A, second floor, HS building.", I replied while looking at my friends as we take our recess on Friday morning. "Bye", I said then hang up.

"So that's how you order a Butler.", exclaimed Illiana. "I thought we'll hear authority or commanding voice but you just spoke like how you speak to us.", Eljake added.
