CHAPTER SIX
Brandon still sat, awestruck until he realized she spoke, "My son."
"Your son?" She questioned.
"My son." He clarified. Getting his phone out and showing him a picture of Lucas.
The woman looked around, causing her to raise a questioning brow at the whereabouts of Brandon's son, "Well, where is he?"
Brandon gave a small smile, "Ha-ha... that's the thing..."
"You... lost your own son?" Asked the woman in confusion, what type of father is he? She thought.
Brandon rubbed the back of his neck, "Pretty bad one, aren't I?"
She had said that aloud?
"Yeah, you did." Brandon responded.
The ladies' cheeks went a crimson red as she gave a sheepish smile to Brandon. She walked further into the room and held a hand out to Brandon, an offering for a help up. Brandon took it and got up.
"Brandon." He stated.
"Victoria." She replied to his friendly, one-worded gesture.
Brandon soon came out of his shock and remembered again why he was originally down in the cold and damp basement. He rushed to the door and started sprinting up the stairs, legs aching and lungs burning.
"Wait!" Victoria called after him, "I saw a man shoving someone familiar to that picture into a vehicle!"
Brandon froze at her words and waited for the stunning woman to climb the infinite stairs. He watched as the woman made some incoherent statements at how difficult being a female was. Brandon couldn't help but show is amusement through a cheeky grin.
Victoria gave a dangerous glare in his direction, took her yellow heels off and continued to climb the stairs, this time in a faster pace.
"Vic, maybe it'd make you even faster if you shed the dress." He couldn't help but joke.
"Oh, shut it."
Brandon chuckled to Victoria's reaction and continued climbing the stairs once she had reached where he was. The quiet and constant pats of their feet on the cement stairs was the only noise that had been created the entire climb. This gave time for both of them to think.
"Not that I'm complaining or anything, but uh, why did you even come down to the basement?" Asked Brandon.
"I had seen the car and heard distant thumps, once I got down there it stopped so I became curious and wedged the door open." Victoria excused, "Why didn't you just call someone?"
"No signal."
Victoria hummed in approval of his excuse and walked towards her car, Brandon following suit. The car ride was silent, only the single ruffle every once and then caused by one of the two searching for a more comfortable position.
Soon the humble noise of the engine had silenced. They were parked in front of a large block of land that was covered in vibrant green grass and a white cemented fountain set in the middle of a paved area.
"What are we doing here?" Brandon gave a silence glance towards Victoria.
Victoria shifted her eyes to Brandon's figure, a knowing smirk playing on her lips, "Oh, just going for a walk."
Brandon gave an uneasy smile to Victoria and climbed out of the Audi r8 GT, the best car he had ever seen a member of the female sex own. He closed the sleek door, the sound barely above the audio level of a whisper and ran his fingers lightly down the glossy, black surface.
"You done?"
Brandon looked up to Victoria and gave a sheepish smile, "Nice car."
Victoria gave a small smile and started to stride down the lightly chipped pavement. Brandon watched in awe as she swayed her hips in a teasing manner, giving a small glance back at him.
"You coming?"
Brandon grinned, "Hells yeah."
He skipped up onto the path and walked in a fast pace to catch up to Victoria. Damn, this woman could walk fast... thought Brandon, she's even wearing 5 inch heels!
His eyes ventured up, he noticed Victoria had a delicate figure; small ankles, firm legs, well-worked-out thighs and a real se-
Victoria disrupted him from checking her out any further by clearing her throat not-so-subtly. Brandon looked up with a light pink tint covering his cheeks and flashed her a small smile.
He soon looked down and started to kick a stray stone around, giving him something to do. The heels of Victoria's shoes stopped clicking, on instinct Brandon looked up to see a pair a pair of dark brown, almost black set of eyes.
Brandon jumped at the sudden closeness and took a giant step back, spanning over a meter.
"Sorry sir..." Brandon said, "I-I wasn't p-paying a-a-attention..."
Victoria gave a small giggle, "Hey, I'm Victoria, this is my friend, Brandon"
Friendzoned...
The man gave a massive grin, showing off his filed teeth, making him a ton scarier. He offered a hand, Victoria took it.
"Mi." (Pronounced 'my')
