The auditorium was silent in the way a courtroom becomes silent when the verdict is about to be spoken.

Nearly two hundred people sat in neat rows under the soft yellow lights of the university hall. Professors, researchers, students—every pair of eyes fixed on the man standing calmly on the stage.

Aarav Rathore didn't move much.

He simply stood there with his hands loosely folded behind his back, shoulders straight, posture relaxed but deliberate. His dark charcoal suit fit him perfectly, sharp lines mirroring the sharpness of the man wearing it.

He looked like someone who never rushed.

Someone who didn't need to.

"Human behavior," Aarav said evenly, his deep voice carrying across the room without effort, "is not as mysterious as people like to believe."

A soft murmur moved through the audience.

He tilted his head slightly, watching them the way a scientist observes a specimen.

"Every person follows patterns. Habits. Micro-expressions. Decision structures." His gaze swept the crowd slowly. "People believe they are unpredictable. They aren't."

He paused.

Silence stretched.

Then Aarav gave a small nod toward the front row.

"You." He pointed to a young man sitting nervously near the aisle. "Would you mind coming here for a moment?"

The volunteer hesitated but eventually stood and walked toward the stage.

Aarav watched every step the man took.

Every shift of weight.

Every movement of his hands.

"What's your name?" Aarav asked.

"Rahul," the man replied.

Aarav nodded once.

"Rahul," he repeated calmly. "You bite your nails when you're stressed. You have a younger sister who constantly borrows your things. And you haven't slept properly in at least two nights."

The hall erupted into whispers.

Rahul blinked in confusion. "H-how did you—?"

Aarav lifted a hand slightly, cutting off the question with effortless authority.

"Your fingers," he said calmly. "The skin around the nails is uneven. A nervous habit."

He stepped a little closer.

"Your shirt sleeves are rolled unevenly, which means you dressed quickly this morning. Lack of sleep."

Rahul stared at him.

"And the faint glitter on your collar," Aarav continued, voice smooth as glass, "suggests you share living space with someone who uses decorative cosmetics."

A few people in the audience chuckled.

"Most likely a younger sister."

Rahul's jaw slowly dropped.

"That... that's correct."

A quiet wave of impressed murmurs spread through the room.

Aarav turned back toward the audience, expression calm.

"This is not magic," he said. "It is observation."

He walked slowly across the stage.

Every step deliberate.
