The uniform above^
Friday.
After the long week, Friday finally came. Football games were a big deal at my high school, most classes turn into study hall. Friday morning consisted of the cheerleading team making posters to hang in the field to support our boys. I sat next to Matty and Gina as I painted the words TIMBERWOLVES in blue, black and silver, our school colors. We had our practice gear on: school tshirts and Nike Pro shorts along with our infinitys. After we finished painted we were suppose to change into our uniforms. Game days were the only time we could wear our uniforms during school hours.
"Did you hear coach is going to let Lane Peyton play in the game tonight?" Gina said. We looked up at her in shock, I was pretty sure my mouth was wide open.
"Wait are you serious? Does that mean Keeton is out?" Matty asked.
Gina kept painting. "Just for this game. They're just going to make him second on if Lane plays well."
"Well hopefully he will get to play in the homecoming game. That would be fucked up if he didn't." I added. I pulled out my iPhone to text my brothers in our group chat the three of us had.
me: What's happening with Keeton?
Brett: punk ass Lane Peyton
Brandon: fuk that guy
I sighed at my phone, obviously I wouldn't be getting much information from them. They were probably pissed.
I stood up, collecting my paint and brushes so I could take them back to the art room. Grabbing my back, I took off down the hall. When I arrived at the art room I peeked my head in the room to look for Mrs Wilkes, the Cheerleading coach and Art teacher. Her class was currently painting and a couple of faces looked up to see who the intruder was, one of which just happened to be Lane. I ignored his eyes on me and I could just tell he was smirking at me. I made my way to the supply closet, putting away the paint before I made my way to Mrs Wilkes desk.
"Are yall finished already?" She asked in her southern accent. She pulled out her slips, writing us all passes back to our regular classes and handing them to me.
"Yep. Not too much to do today." I quickly grabbed the slips from her, said goodbye and rushed out. I couldn't stand the feeling of Lane's eyes on me. I quickly left the room and headed down to the locker room to change into my uniform. Our uniform was black with silver, white and blue lining and a huge black bow we wore in our hair. My hair was loosely curled at the ends with my bangs clipped back and my bow resting directly on top of it. I pulled on the tiny skirt and top before fixing my makeup. I handed the girls their passes before running out to class. It was third period now, meaning I was about to see my pissed off brothers.
Once I made it to Forensics I handed my pass to the creepy substitute we had and sat down with my brothers. I pulled out my phone and began to scroll through my Instagram feed when I saw a notification for a new follower.
LPeyton13 is now following you.
Why was he suddenly taking an interest in me? I decided to send a request to follow him back since his page was private. To get my mind off of it I decided to upload a picture of my brothers and I in our uniform.
brennan.wolf: game day pic with @brandon.wolf and @brett.wolf
I quickly picked a filter out, posted the pic and watched my notification burst.
"Damn I look good in that pic. Bring on the ladies." Brett smirked at his phone. I rolled my eyes at him before looking back down at my phone.
LPeyton13 has liked your photo.
LPeyton13 has commented on your photo: all I see are sheep.
I quickly locked my phone, somehow finding myself nervous at my brothers seeing his comment. They were both on their phones but so far their moods hadn't shifted yet. I unlocked the phone and took a quick screenshot, sending it to Matty.

Football games are one of the funniest things in high school, especially when you live in Texas. High school football was broadcasted on the local news station and the crowds went wild.
I stood with my arms wrapped around Amber, another girl on the team, and Gina as we posed and smiled for a picture on Gina's selfie stick. Amber was soon replaced with Celia and then finally I found myself taking a picture with Matty, blowing kisses at the camera. Yeah we were those girls. After a quick team picture, the game began and we began getting the crowd pumped up.
It was a brutal game, Our team destroying the other one, 48 - 6. Lane could play, in my opinion, he was better than Keeton. The football players all gathered around after the game to take pictures with their parents and friends for the yearbook and Lane decided to approach me. If it had been anyone but Lane I wouldn't have cared, but since he definitely wasn't my brothers' favorite person at the moment...
"Hey Little Wolf." He smirked, his football helmet dangling from his fingers. I crossed my arms as he approached, my eyes darting around and looking for my brothers or anyone in the pack. "Why do you look so nervous? Not allowed to be talking to me?"
"I just don't like you, actually." I scowled.
"Aw. It hurts, it really does." He placed a hand over his heart as if to show he was heart broken. "I just wanted to talk. Are we not allowed to be friends?"
I felt like an asshole. "Sorry. My brothers just don't like you much..."
"I could tell. Are you going to Chlamydia's party?"
I bit my lip to keep myself from laughing. "Celia?"
"Yeah yeah same thing." He winked.
"Don't slut shame." I put on the most serious face I could.
"Sorry, sorry. Won't happen again." He put his hands up as if to surrender. I flashed him a smile before I felt an arm wrap over my shoulder and I looked up to find Joel. Joel was a tall (not as tall as Joel though) and tan all American blonde boy with a southern accent and dimples.
"Is Peyton bothering you Brenn?" He asked me without taking his eyes off Lane.
"No it's-" he cut me off.
"Come on, I'll give you a ride to Celias." He began to turn me away.
"Jo don't be an ass. I was just talking."
"Yeah Jo. We were just talking." Lane smirked, and I immediately knew he was trying to get Joel worked up.
"No ones asked you, Peyton." Joel growled at him. "Fuck off and go back to the hole you crawled out of to escape hell."
Lane let out a laugh at Joel's words but didn't push it. He looked at me, still smirking. "See you later tonight, Brennan."
I let out a gulp as he winked and walked away.
"What was he bothering you about?" Joel began to interrogate me.
"Nothing, I was just being friendly." I grumbled, pulling Joel's arm off me before I rushed off to my car.
