Sunday Morning.

My brothers were hungover, but I wasn't. I never was. I pulled myself out of bed and walked into the bathroom, as I remembered everything that happened the night before. I quickly unlocked my phone to look at all of the test messages I had received in my sleep.

6 MESSAGES

MATTY: what happened to you?? Why did Lane punch Keeton?

MATTY: hello bitch where u

MATTY: Brenn I better hear from u tomorrow or I'm going to stab u. Love u.

BRETT: Keeton has been taken care of. :)

CELIA: do you know where Brandon went?

UNKNOWN NUMBER: hey little wolf.

I quickly texted back Matty, ignoring the rest. I hesitated before replying to the unknown number but ended up doing it anyways.

ME: hey, who is this? :)

UNKNOWN NUMBER: guess who

I rolled my eyes. If they weren't going to tell me who they were they didn't deserve a reply from me. I began getting ready for my day, pulling on a dark green oversized sweatshirt on and a pair of black nike pros. I slid into my checkered vans and grabbed my wallet and keys. I tossed my phone into the passenger seat before I started the car, beginning my journey to coffee. Heights coffee company was the best coffee shop in the entire city. The smell of espresso entered my nose as I walked into the cafe. I sat down at one of the booths and ordered a vanilla latte.

"Brennan." I looked up to see none other than Lane Peyton.

"Oh, hey Lane." I tapped my nails on the table. I looked around the cafe, everywhere except him.

"Do I make you nervous?" He asked, sitting down across from me with his signature smirk. "You know, I am a little offended. I texted you and you didn't know who I was."

He faked a pout, that I immediately wanted to wipe off of his gorgeous face. So the unknown number was him...

"I asked who you were and you didn't tell me." I stated blandly.

He leaned back in his seat, stretching his arms up. "So I have a question for you."

I narrowed my eyes at him suspiciously. "Okay..?"

"Homecoming. You and me." He stated, instead of asking. I was slightly shocked. He wanted to take me to homecoming?

"I don't think-"

"Don't worry about the wolves." He smirked, interrupting me. "Just agree to it."

"What are you up to?" He liked to play games, so this must have been one of his games. I was really started to get frustrated with his mind tricks and sudden interest in me. "You're always up to something."

He shook his head as if he couldn't believe I was asking him that. "This is true. I'm going to lie to you, ever. But I do think we should go to homecoming together. I think the shock effect on everyone would be entertaining."

"So you want to go to homecoming with me because you want to see how people will react?"

He smirked, answering my question. "So what do you say? Homecoming?"
