Bad Ideas End With Brain Damage

It was such a bad idea agreeing to go to school. The rest of my day had gone by so slowly and i was mentally and physically exhausted. I had to avoid the stares of anyone who passed by me, and Luke. He was everywhere, always trying to talk to me. I had made it to end of the day before he started texting me; please talk to me, I'm sorry for being a jerk, I want to help, tell me who hurt you, and so on. The last one he sent almost had me texting him back.

You're still beautiful. - Luke

I had stared at that text the whole last period, I couldn't tear my eyes away from it. He thought I was beautiful. No one, not even Kyle, had told me I was beautiful. I had been told I was hot, pretty, cute, and one time I was told I was smokin hot. Never, ever, has anyone said that I was beautiful. It had my stomach doing back flips and my mind extremely confused.

Once class ended I fought the urge to hunt Luke down, and it was a big urge. If it hadn't been for Anna getting to my locker so quickly, I probably would have found him.

"I have great news!" Anna squealed. We were dodging the groups of people still lingering in the halls. Anna had already become comfortable with everyone's stares, so she left her hood down. I, on the other hand, had left my hood up and my head down. I didn't like it, all the attention was more than I was used to and it had me on edge.

"What?" I asked. I didn't even try to hide my attitude. I was exhausted from the day and feeling sorry for myself.

"Andy just sent me a text, and they are having a party at the old grain silo."

"How much time do we have to get ready?" I asked. My mood instantly lifted at the mention of the silo. I absolutely loved that place. The silo was like twenty years old and has been shut down since I was born, meaning it was the best place to party. No one ever went there, and last year we had furnished it with some rundown furniture.

"I guess that depends," Anna shrugged, "Andy is going at six, so if we need a ride, like two hours."

"I bet Selene and Nes will wanna go, they love that place."

Anna began jumping up and down, making weird squealy noises. It had been too long since we had been to the silo. If my ribs hadn't hurt so badly, I probably would have been jumping around too.

We took the city bus back to my house and quickly got ourselves ready, which was just a quick change of hoodies. We really had no reason to get dressed up just to sit on a dirty couch while smoking pot. Since Selene and Vanessa had already planned a party at the house, they didn't join us at the silo. They only dropped us off with cab money, like good little wanna-be parents.

"Ahhh, my two favorite chicks!" Andy yelled as we walked over to him. He was a tall grungy looking boy, with brown hair that always hung in his eyes. He had on a backwards ball cap, black band tee, and ripped up jeans. He may not look very clean, but he was a good guy, someone you didn't have to worry about. That was a rare thing to find in a person who sold drugs.

"Andy," I smiled.

He gave us a bow and handed over two blunts, rolled in blueberry swishers, I could smell the sweetness. This was the best thing about him, he rolled blunts in flavored cigar wrappers, best thing ever. Not many people did that, it was more expensive, and it took a lot more work than just using regular rolling paper. Not to mention it held a lot more weed than a regular rolling paper did, almost three times more.

"This is why I love you!" Anna squealed taking the blunt into her hands and breathing it in deeply.

He ushered us over to the seating area. The seating area, as we called it, was somewhat like a patio. An awning came off of the silo, and covered a large concrete area. There was a worn down, holey couch that sat against the blue silo. Another worn out couch sat right next to it, with a sheet covering the cushions. In the middle of the two couches, was a metal trash barrel with a fire burning inside of it. On the side of the sheet covered couch sat a battery operated radio, with rock music blaring out of it. It may not sound like much, but I absolutely loved it.
