ONCE ERICA gave them the signal, the van was on the move as Steve, Dustin, Nancy and Jonathan made their way across the lawn, towards the house's now open garage, which the Sinclair girl opened up. The van began backing up into the driveway where Steve opened up the back doors of the van.
All of them hopped out and headed on inside to prepare the house. First by drawing the curtains closed, putting pillowcases over the Turnbow family's heads and putting them in the van. Steve shut the van doors and knocked on the window of the back door, so Joyce turned on the engine and drove away, headed for the farm as the others stayed behind.
Once they arrived to the farm, they put the family into one of the stalls and tied them up. "Okay... so finally wanna talk?" Robin brought up to her girlfriend who quickly turned to look at her. "Talk about what?" She asked her and the blonde titled her head to the side a bit. "The... family problems? Is... is it big? Like, if it's about your biological mother again, like last time, then I'm all ears, because you know I love to listen to you as much as I love talking. And I can sit and be silent, and you can just talk. Take the floor, Val. I'm all ears." Robin rambled.
"Robby," Valerie reached out, grabbing her hand gently, and the Buckley nods eagerly. "It's really not the time or place for this right now... we just kidnapped a family." She nods to the stall where the Turnbows were, with Erica standing right outside of it, and the Sinclair girl was watching the two. "Right... sorry." Robin apologized as the Smith girl pulls her hand away.
"I appreciate the concern." She told her girlfriend who just gave her a small smile. "What friends are for, right?" Robin's clearly joking, but also pretending since Erica, Joyce and Will were around. "Right." Val gave her a small smile in return before looking away, only to see Will looking right at the pair. The Smith girl just gave him a small smile which he returned before quickly looking the other way.
The look on his face that follows after made her worried. After waiting for the others, Valerie sat on the ladder below Robin who was asking Steve many questions, especially about the law, since Steve's uncle is a lawyer. It was just making Val more anxious, sitting there, worrying about her younger sister. If you get locked up, who will be there for little Stephanie especially after losing her actual real sibling, Matty.
"So, like, what kind of criminals does your uncle defend exactly?" Robin asked into the radio. "You know, are they, like, white-collar criminals? Because that does seem like a Harrington thing to do, you know, like, defend rich douchebags. And in this situation, I think that the rich douchebags would be coming for us." She gets nothing in response. "Steve? Steve? Are you there?" She then asked. "Yeah, I hear you. Just stop talking." Steve replied in an instant which made Val look up at her girlfriend.
She glares, ready to give Steve a piece of her mind when he added on, "I think we've got company." Robin instantly looked up at Valerie whose eyebrows raise. "South down Arlington, T-minus 30 seconds. Status check. Taggers?" Steve asked. "In position and set. Launcher?" Nancy replied next. "Set. Catcher?" Lucas answered. "Set. Trackers?" Mike asked and then Steve replied, "Set."
"It's inside. Keep your traps shut."
The group waited around for their plan to work, Valerie was mostly pacing back and forth, anxiously as Erica, Robin, Will and Joyce all sat around together at the little table. "Demo tagged and released. Trackers in pursuit. Repeat, trackers in pursuit. Hit it!" Dustin screams at Steve as Val stopped her pacing to just stand there with her hands on her hips. "Why would they turn around?" Joyce now asked, looking around at the three teenagers.
"Maybe he's trying to shake them?" Erica suggested. "No, that's impossible. It doesn't know it's being tracked." Will said, looking over at her and just then, the chains rattled from inside the stall where they stored the Turnbow family. All five heads turn that way, Valerie quickly rushing over with Will. "Stay away from me!" Derek was awake, "stay away!"
