"Kakkarot, who do you live with?"

The younger boy stilled and any color he was left with fled his face. Kakkarot bowed his head and Vegeta became impatient. "ANSWER ME KAKKAROT!"

Kakkarot miserably lifted his head and tears were streaming down the boys chubby cheeks. What was odd, was that the boy was offering one of his biggest smiles the prince has ever seen.

"I-I live w-with my d-daddy..." the boy lied.

Vegeta grew angry. Why would Kakkarot lie? "TELL ME THE TRUTH KAKKAROT! YOU CAN'T BE LIVING WITH YOUR FATHER BECAUSE HE'S DEAD!!" Vegeta was red with rage. "...no...he's not dead..." Kakkarot weakly denied. Vegeta huffed. "Yes, yes he is Kakkarot. If he was alive, I'm sure the son of an Elite wouldn'to be wearing such ragged cloth--Ugh!!" Vegeta stumbled back when a small fist collided with the prince's cheek.

Vegeta was wide-eyed as he placed his hand on the forming bruise. It was no doubt small and would heal within minutes because there was no real force behind it, but if it we're as anyone else, they'd probably be sporting a broken jaw.

Kakkarot was struggling against the nearby nurses who rushed forward to hold him down. "Y-YOU B-BIG MEANY!! MY DADDY WOULDN'T DIE AND LEAVE ME ALL ALONE! H-HE PROMISED TO COME BACK, AND DADDY NEVER BREAKS HIS PROMISES!" Kakkarot screamed. Vegeta calmy ignored the shock at being hit and spoke in a soft, firm tone.

"Kakkarot, your father died a year ago in battle. He's gone," Vegeta said.

Kakkarot stopped struggling and the nurses sighed in relief. Just as they were about to let him go, Kakkarot let out am ear piercing shreik and the boys body glowed an eerie gold before the light vanished and suddenly bursted from the child's body, surging forward and blinding everyone.

Vegeta quickly sheilded his eyes and blindly shot forward to grab Kakkarot but all he met was the sheets of the bed. "KAKKAROT!!" He yelled.

The 6-year old saiyan sped down random halls in random directions. His bandages began to soak with blood hinting that his wound reopened. 'Daddy isn't dead! He w-wouldn't...' Kakkarot furiously thought. He was blinded by tears so he didn't have time to stop when he crashed into a solid figure. "My, my, what do we have here? A puny little saiyan who can't find his mommy?"

Kakkarot pathetically whimpered when the back of his shirt was grabbed and he was lifted to meet the gaze of the man he crashed into. "Hmm...you don't look familiar, so is it safe to assume that you snuck in? Haha, such pathetic guards! Child, if you promise to wreak havoc, then I'll find no need to report you to a guard. Do we have a deal?"

Kakkarot couldn't answer when a surging power level made him sqeak in fright. The man holding him narrowed his eyes and dropped Kakkarot onto the floor before smirking.

"Oh, Prince Vegeta! I found this child roaming the palace. You should really think about strengthening the palace guards if a child of his stature could sneak in," said the man.

Vegeta openly sneered. "Frieza, to what do I owe the honor?" Vegeta spat. Frieza laughed. "Now, now, I was just offering you advice. You should do well to listen to me because as future king we'll have to be able to communicate if we want to keep our alliance strong, yes?"

Vegeta glared but his fierce look disappeared when his gaze landed on Kakkarot who was plopped besides Frieza's feet. Vegeta completley disregarded how wrong that looked and focused on Kakkarot as he stepped foward and offered a hand to the boy. "Come on Kakkarot, we need to get your bandages cleaned," he softly said.
