It Never Ends- Bring Me The Horizon

((Trigger Warning))

My new life in hell began with coming home to my parents. They were beyond angry at me.

I knew that they have had enough of me. My dad was constantly screaming at me, telling me what a useless, meaningless, and pitiful person I am.

"What'd you do this time?" My dad commanded right as I got in the door. My mum was in the kitchen, not daring to intervene.

"There was this boy, sir, and he started talking to me in the middle of class, so I told him rudely to leave me alone." I said, repeating my lie that I used to cover for Benjamin.

"This is why you're going to be alone the rest of your miserable life! You have no friends, you've never had a boyfriend, are you just going to die alone? Are you?" He yelled.

I looked at my shoes, unsure of what to say. Dad stomped over to me, grabbing my hair harshly. "I asked you a question." He growled.

My throat ran dry. Dad smacked me hard, leaving me stunned. He still had a handful of my hair in his grasp, telling me that this was no where near over. Pulling off his belt, he kneed me to the ground.

Over and over, he whipped my skin until I bled. "Now answer my fucking question, you worthless bitch."

"Yes sir!" I cried out, tears streaming down my cheeks.

Dad pushed my face down onto the tile, kicking my sides. "I- I'm sorry sir! Please stop!" I whimpered.

He brought me to my feet, holding the collar of my shirt. His belt made contact with my cheek, leaving the skin bright red.

After that, I became numb. No matter how many times he struck me, I felt no pain.

I turned my neck, catching my mother's attention. She had tears in her eyes. It was obvious to her that I had enough. "Richard, stop. Please." She begged.

From the little consciousness I had left, I felt the worst pain. My father had struck down my mother. She fell to the ground, sobbing.

I wanted to use the rest of my strength to see of she was okay. But my father stood in my way, stomping my chest to the tile floor.

"Now get out of my sight." He spat. I slowly got myself up, pain shooting through my body.

The stairs seemed endless in my condition but I knew I'd only get it worse if I didn't move fast. I crawled up the stairs, stumbling as I reached for the last step.

My room was so close, but my vision was starting to blur and darken. I had to go on sheer willpower to get up the last step.

Trying to prop my weight on my arm, I opened my door, collapsing on the cool carpet before I let the darkness consume me.

I tried my absolute hardest to get up in the morning. My body ached, but I had to get to school. If not, my condition would worsen.

I slipped into an oversized jumper, and dark jeans. My face was covered in makeup, trying to conceal the bruises.

Scurrying downstairs, I smelt my mother's cooking. My stomach growled, but I shut my eyes and ignored the pain. I grabbed my bag and said a quick goodbye to my mum and dad.

I knew school would be awful today. More so than usual. Ms. Owen, the band teacher, would ask why I was so covered up, Mr. Redford would be on me about detention, and Benjamin promised that him and his friends would have "fun" with me.

I sighed loudly, dreading the long day ahead.

It took at least ten minuets to walk to school which always meant I came five minuets early everyday.

I was too busy fidgeting with my backpack straps, that I almost couldn't detect the smell of cigarettes. Looking over, I saw three boys coming towards me. All of them were significantly taller than me, and of course looked like they could tear me apart in a matter if seconds.

When I walked faster, they mimicked me. When I turned around, they smirked. When I ran, they came up behind me, grabbing my arms to keep me in place.

I expected one of the boys to be no other than Benjamin Bruce, but they were all strangers. My heart started to race in fear.

"Get off of me!" I screamed, trashing around.

One of them laughed, smacking my cheek hard. "Let me go! I'll scream! I swear to god someone will hear me!" I yelled.

"You wouldn't dare."

I was afraid for my life. There was no way I was going to die to them. I opened my mouth, letting out a bloodcurdling screech to save myself. Their eyes widened.

"Shit!" One of them yelled. "Let's go!"

They ran off, leaving me to collapse on the concrete. I curled up and started to sob violently.

"Holy fuck. Are you okay?" I head a voice say. I opened my eyes to see a girl with bright blue eyes, a nose piercing, and dark auburn hair.

All I wanted was a hug, I needed comfort of some sort. I rapidly wrapped my arms around, burying my face in the leather of her jacket.

She froze before stroking my back softly. I pulled back, sniffling and wiping my eyes. "What's your n- holy shit, your eye!"

I quickly covered myself from the girl, feeling embarrassed and desperate.

"One of the boys- he- he hit me." I partially lied.

Her concerned look turned to one of rage. "Did you see what they looked like?" She demanded.

I shook my head, scared by her obvious aggression. "I'm sorry."

"Why are you sorry? You did nothing. I'm sorry I couldn't be here sooner." She admitted.

I shook my head. "It's okay."

A moment of silence consumed us, only to be broken by the first bell. "Shit." She hissed under her breath.

She helped me up to my feet before taking my hand, making a mad dash for the school. "What's your fist class?"

"Music."

She nodded, pulling me along to the class. "I have math. I'll meet you after though." She turned to run.

"Wait! What's your name?" I called.

"Ashlyn. And you are?"

"Carmen."

She smirked. "See you later."

Then she was off running.
