"Darcy's pov"

"Bend your knees, Darcy!" My instructor barks.

"Yes, sir." I mumble.

"Pointe your toes!" He yells, so I try harder.

"Kick, don't turn." He says, as the song ends.

"Better." He says, and I smile knowing that's the closest to a complement i'm going to get.

"Okay, today your going to work on your duet, for a few hours, then we will go back to solo's." He says, and I nod.

"I will be in and out, I have office work." He says, adding on.

"Carson's back." He says, causing me to jump up, and grin.

"Great." I say, smiling.

"Carson!" I yell out, grinning as I run off pointe toward him.

"My Little danseur (Dancer in french.)" He says, as he embraces me. I chuckle, and retreat from his hug.

"Knock knock." A voice says, a voice that I would know anywhere.

"Hey, Parker." I say, smiling still.

"Hey Darcy." He says, sticking his tongue out, but pulling me in for a hug, anyways.

"So, shall we start." I ask, looking between the two, as an understatement, they hate each other.

"How about we do our ballet first, since I already have my shoes on?" I ask, directing my statement toward Carson.

"Sure." He says, and I look toward Parker, shrugging, and he nods, giving me an encouraging smile.

I walk over to my I-pod

"How was your trip?" I ask Carson, as I look for the songs, and he puts his shoes on.

"Good, I am quite happy to be back though." He replies off-hand.

"You were only gone for two weeks, and you were in Paris and New York, cheer up." I say.

"I hear somebody else was on a work vacation." He says, causing me to look over and he is wiggling his eyebrows.

"Ha-Ha. I didn't take a vacation for leisure, I took it for other reasons." I say, looking back toward my
I pod before I say the last part.

I see him nod, and stand up.

I start the song, and we start the dance, going slowly, than faster, doing turns, and lifts.

By the end of our dance, were both stumbling  Bit, seeing as this is the first time we've done it together in two and a half weeks.

"Looked great, Darcy, other than the few slips, but that's expected for the amount of time you've been practicing it alone." Parker says, as I chug my water bottle.

"Just let me grab my other shoes." I say, running out of the studio to my dressing-room.

I slip my pointe shoes off well i'm in there, and slip my other shoes on, starting to fast walk back.

"Miss. Styles?" A little voice asks, and I realize she's the Dj's daughter.

"Yes?" I ask, crouching down to her height, though I still feel a sadness in my chest, though I don't know why.

"Can I have a picture, and have your autograph?" She ask's shyly.

"For sure."

By this point I see Carson and Parker in the hall, looking for me, probably because I've been gone too long, their eyes find me, and they soften.

I grab her camera, and hold it out, Smiling, as I watch her do the same, I snap the picture and watch it start to pop out the top.

"You want another one?" I ask, looking as it starts to develop, I glance at her, and see she's nodding.

"Hey Little sister." I hear, causing me to jump.

"Hey Ty, take a picture for me?" I ask, grinning.

"Sure." He says as he takes the camera.

"Three, two, one" He says, and right as the light flashes, I pull her into a hug, causing her to laugh toward the camera, and my smile to get wider.

"There you go." I say, grabbing the camera and handing it to her, as the picture pops out the top.

"What's your name, Honey?" I ask, grabbing the fine tipped permanent marker from her hand, and the second picture.

"Alana." She says, smiling.

I grin, and nod, opening the marker.

I write :

Hey, Alana, your such a sweet girl, stay that way forever-xx Darcy.

"Are you here for a class or something?" I ask, and she frowns and sighs.

"No, my Daddy is at work." She says, looking bored.

"Who's your Daddy?" I ask, curious as to why she's walking around her alone.

"Emerson." She says, and I rack my mind trying to put a finger on that name.

I knew him through the years I was homeschooled, and we stayed in touch, though I can't see them being the same person.

"What job does he do?" I ask, trying to figure this out.

"He is a picture taking person." She says, smiling.

"I can take you to his office." I say, and she nod's.

I stand back up to normal height, and she grabs my hand, leading me down a hallway.

"Hi, have you seen my daughter, she's 5, has short blonde hair, Oh one second." He says, hearing me knock.

"Alana! Don't ever do that again, you have to stay here when Daddy is working, you scared me so much!" He says, kneeling down to hug her.

"Sorry Daddy." She says, walking past him into his office.

"Thank you so much, uh." He starts.

"Darcy Styles." I finish for him.

"It's no problem," I start.

"Emerson Jones" He finished.

"Wow, nice to finally see you in the flesh." I joke, causing realization to cross his face.

"Oh, your that Darcy!" He says grinning.

"Yeah." I answer.

"You should give me your number, and we should go for coffee sometime." He says, causing me to nod.

"Can I come?" Alana asks, peaking her head out the door, causing me to laugh.

"I don't know." Emerson answers before I can.

"Bye guys, I have to get back to work." I say, as I start walking away.

"Bye," They both say, and I smile, picking up my pace to a jog.
