Chapter 8- Little Wonders
Harry's POV.
I was on break along with Niall.
"Messed up moment yesterday, didn't I?" He asked me cheekily. 'you little...' I clenched my jaw and looked at him.
"What do you think?" I growled. "I was this close, to getting her to like me again. This close." I motioned with a little space between my thumb and pointer-finger.
"Your problem that you two decided to go missing. At least Lou didn't find you... That would have made the situation even more awkward." He said as he grabbed a plate and started to pile food onto it. I smiled to myself. 'yeah, Lou would have only made it more awkward...' I thought to myself.
"See, even you agree with me." Niall stated. I raised an eyebrow at him. "You said out-loud Mate." He put his hand on my shoulder for a second and then turned toward one of the tables. I took a sip of my water and thought of the old times. 'What went wrong?'
"You became a pop-star Harry. There was nothing you could've done. Well, you could have visited once and a while." I told myself. I walked over to one of the stages and saw Nelly along with the adults.
"Who are you? Really..." Kelly said as she looked Nelly up and down.
"I'm Kyle's friends... One he wasn't forced to be one with." She whispered as she looked up from her feet. Hannah looked guilty at her feet but then back up at her.
"So you are the one whom he made Oliver buy the extra ticket for?" Hannah smiled.
"He didn't have to do it. I could have stayed here." Nelly stated.
"It was my pleasure. It's a good thing for him to get comfortable, after all Justin seems to make him always uncomfortable." Oliver says to her. She smiled shyly at them and then the adults get out of the room. Nelly's phone rings and she turns toward it, her eyes growing wide. She walks over to it and then answers it.
"Hel.. Hello?" She stuttered.
"Hello Charity, how are you?" A voice laughed. Nelly turned pale and started to shake.
"How.. How.. How did you find me?" She asked, clutching the phone.
"I have lots of ways, never forget that. However, you didn't seem to answer my question.. How are you?" The voice said as you could hear the cruel smile at the end of it.
"I'm alright... How about yourself?" She asked, hesitant. She jumped back as though she had been hit as the voice laughed.
"I'm fine, peachy even.. How does it feel to have manners, Charity?" The voice sneered.
"Why? Why are you doing this too me?" She asked, not answering the other question. The voice was silent for a moment, as though in deep thought. But it was soon back as the voice whispered lowly.
"Because, your family has some debts, and since you are the only one I can find, I'm taking it out with you.. Maybe then all of your family can come out." The voice hissed.
"My family's dead. They have been for 3 years now." She hissed back.
"Well, I'm sorry to hear that... However, it doesn't change it one bit. Your family had a debt, and it's going to be repayed." The voice said. The phone was then clicked off and Nelly looked around in fear. Within the minute, she dropped the phone and hugged her knees.
"Are you alright?" I asked, coming out onto the stage. Nelly looked up at me, tears that looked so real streamed down her face. Tears that I just wanted to reach out and catch, wiping the rest away. I never could see her crying, it had always broken my heart. But now, it seemed even a worse effect then it had been on other days.
