Chapter 19- Before fun time

Nelly's POV.

I woke up to someone screaming my name. Groaning, I sat up and tossed the blankets back. Everything was a little hazy as I started to walk out of my room. Serena was dancing around the living room as though she was a butterfly. While I was just standing there with my arms crossed.

"Yes?" I asked as I leaned against a wall. Serena stopped dancing to turn and look at me. She pulled my hand as she started to ramble about anything and everything.

"Woah, slow down, I haven't had breakfast." I groaned as she kept talking. She gave me a small smile and I pointed to the kitchen. Grabbing a apple, I took a bit and started to walk back to my room. Serena was looking through my closet, probably for the party that was at 6 today.

"Girl, do you have no dresses besides the ones that we bought earlier?" She asked.

"Yes. That a prob?" I asked back. She snorted and tossed me some shirts and a shirt. I shooed her away and changed into the clothing. They were high-waisted shirts that were black and a short sleeved top that was tie-dyed. I grabbed my black fedora and headed out of my room.

"Come on, shopping time!" Serena shouted as I finished my apple. I rolled my eyes and grabbed the car keys. Stepping into Serena's car, we headed of to the mall.  After an half-hour of driving, we reached the mall. I put my headphones into my ear and handed one of the buds to Serena. We walked together as we listened to Wings by Little Mix.

"Mama told me not to waste my life

She said spread your wings my little butterfly

Don't let what they say keep you up at night

And if they give you shhhh...

Then they can walk on by

My feet, feet can't touch the ground

And I can't hear a sound

But you just keep on running up your mouth yeah" I started to sing.

"Walk, walk on over there

'Cause I'm too fly to care, oh yeah

Your words don't mean a thing

I'm not listening

Keep talking, all I know is" Serena sang. We were already attracting people glances, but truth be told, we didn't care.

"Mama told me not to waste my life,

She said spread your wings my little butterfly

Don't let what they say keep you up at night

And they can't detain you

'Cause wings are made to fly

And we don't let nobody bring us down

No matter what you say – it won't hurt me

Don't matter if I fall from the sky

These wings are made to fly" We sang together, starting to dance. People started to take videos of our little performance.

"I'm firing up on that runway

I know we're gonna get there someday

But we don't need no "Ready. Steady. Go!", no" I continued.

"Talk, talk turns into air

And I don't even care, oh yeah

Your words don't mean a thing
