"Why do you have to go?" Lilly whimpered.
Her adorable voice made me want to cuddle her harder than what I was already doing. "Sorry Lilly but we have to go." I pressed her harder before letting her go and got on my feet.
In case you want to know, dinner was a disastrous last night. I wanted to blame Sage for everything but I couldn't. Not because he's the hottest, most adorable yet most infuriating guy I've ever met but it's simply because after he went to the loo he couldn't stop himself from falling asleep. Good thing, he made it to the room provided by the family. So that left me with being stuck with a frying pan. I almost burned down the house when I increase the flame on the stove so much. Fortunately, Annie decided to check on me.
"Why can't you just stay here and feed the pigs or tend the goats-"
"Or you can go horse riding with Sage all day long and you'll ride on one horse again like what you two did yester-" Jesse continued and what he said caught me off guarded.
My eyebrows furrowed, "What did you say? How did you know that?" Lilly and Jesse exchanged glances and this made me worry. "Were you, I don't know, following us?"
They both shook their frantically and started speaking at the same time I didn't understand anything. "Hold up! One at a time."
They both fell silent and I waited for one of them to speak. No one spoke for a moment but Lilly took a deep breath gaining her momentum but apparently Jesse did the same with them not noticing each other. Twins, and guess what? I didn't understand anything except for a few words like, "Daddy", "adorable", "Sage and you", "look good together", "girlfriend".
"Wait- what? What are you talking about?"
"We heard Daddy telling Mommy that you were being sweet yesterday because he let you ride his own horse and that you look good together! Daddy said you were Sage's girlfriend!" Lilly told me before Jesse had the chance.
I wanted to ask them more but I saw Sage making his way towards us so I decided against it. He looked worried and gone was the usual grin on his face. "Hey, what's wrong?" I asked him the moment he arrived next to us.
He was about to answer but stopped himself. He looked unsure as if he was debating on telling me what was bothering him. In the end he released some air and suddenly found the floor fascinating. "There had been err- some problems. You might want to check it out?"
I followed him out of the porch and into the parked Lamborghini a few feet away from us. The car looked pretty the same, what could possibly go wrong?
Sage didn't stopped when we arrived in front of the car instead he went to the side and there I saw James crouching on the other side of the car. He was rubbing his neck continuously he didn't notice us. I soon realized what was wrong when I saw the flat tire. Flat is probably an understatement because a big portion of the tire was taken out leaving a huge hole. What just happened? I didn't there were Tire-eaters in here.
"Got chewed by goats." Sage answered who probably read my thought.
"What now? Don't they have extra tires? James?"
James looked up on us, his face looked quite worried but he masked it with a smile. "We used the last tire last week. We don't have any extras anymore but we can call the nearest auto repair?"
"Yeah you should probably do that." I replied enthusiastically. It's not that I didn't like it in here but it's about time we get on the road again and find a new place to explore. James immediately brought out a phone on his pocket and began to dial. For a few seconds he walked back and forth a little away from us waiting for someone to answer the call while Sage and I waited.
