I banged my head repeatedly on the cold wall until I felt the pain creeping in. Sage was being quiet beside me but he continued to draw lines on the floor with his fingers, probably counting the hours left until we get out of this hellhole. The police man outside the bars kept glancing at us. I hummed a song as I dreaded for the hours to pass by.

The confrontation with the police wasn't as bad as I expected. We explained them everything but unfortunately, it was still a stolen car so were put behind the prison bars and was sentenced to spend a day in this prison cell. The owner of the car even showed up and explained our innocence since he can remember what the criminal looks like.

It's been three hours since we've been stuck here. The clock on the wall behind the police man indicated that it was already seven in the evening.

"Twenty-one more hours to go." Sage muttered beside me and I glanced at him. "Sorry, I had to put you through this."

I gave him a small smile which he responded before I went back into banging my head into the wall. I'd probably get a concussion before I can even get out of this hell hole. "When I told my parents that I'm going on an adventure, being stuck inside a prison cell wasn't a part of my plan." Sage whispered beside me.

"It's it a bad thing?" I stopped banging my head and whispered back at him. To my amusement, he chuckled. I suddenly felt his fingers wrapping around my hand and I looked down to see it.

"Not really." He whispered while he kept playing with my fingers.

"My mom's probably going to bust my head off if she found out that I'm stuck inside a prison cell." I haven't thought about my family for a while and it immediately made me feel guilty.

"What's your family like?"

"It's like any typical family you can find." I glanced at him and he inched closer to me until our faces were only inches before they're basically on each other.

"Tell me anyway." He said as he rested his forehead on mine. His breathe fanning my face.

"Well, if you insist." I inhaled some air before I nuzzled closer to him until my head was resting on his shoulder with my forehead touching his neck. He smelled like mint, addicting. "My mom's a writer so she spends most of her time at home and my dad owns an auto shop. I have an elder brother though, Newt, but he's already in college."

"I don't have an elder brother. What's he like?"

I chuckled by just remembering my brother. "He's with brilliant, very wise."

"Why didn't you get that?" He asked and I smacked him on the head. He let out a whimper as he rubbed his head.

"But you have siblings right?"

"Yeah." He murmured and this time he let his head rest on my shoulder, his hands intertwined with mine.

"What are they like?"

"Well, they're twins. Eleanor and William, both charming-"

"Why didn't you get that?"

"Come on, they got that one from me." He looked up and sent me a smirk before staring into my eyes. "You're like my sister, did you know that?" I raised my eyebrow at him, thinking if I should take that as a compliment or not.

"You told me you like me and now you're telling me I remind you of your sister? Isn't that incest or something? Or maybe you just like me as a sister or something but you kissed me under the waterfall and that's not right, right? If I remind you of your sister?" I blabbered while he watched me in amusement.
