Racing Big.

Chapter 14

Racing big. 

Its been two weeks, since everything now, me and Trey have basically gone back to normal, sometime we will have awkward moments,where I have the urge to create awkward turtle and laugh, but I dont think Trey has the best sense of humour. 

So far I have been to four races, all with Trey, he refuses me to go alone, however much he's pissed at me, he said its because I could get hurt or put in danger, which I just sigh to, since ove been there I have made a couple of friends, ive even become friendly with the boss, who I found was names, Darren, he's actually quite a big softy, and im quite priveledged to only be the only person to be able to call him by his first name instead of the mysterious, scary 'boss'.

There's also Declan who's seventeen like me, he's really sweet and pretty cute, he kind of reminds me of a cute little panda, seen as all he wears is black and white. And then there's Ben who I always have a laugh with, but whenever I get close to him, Trey pulls me away, which pisses me off, but im yet to question it.

Right now its friday night, I was going to go out with Chris but he has a new case he's working on, but luckily there's a race on, which Im now at, at the moment im sitting in Darren's office with a coke and litening to my ipod waiting for my race. I look around his room, and notice a calander on the wall, well it's kind of hard to miss, seen as there is a naked woman spread on the front, I had to chuckle, such a boys thing to have a calander with naked woman, I looked beyond the lady with no pants on and looked at the dates, nothing much on, only thing that sounds good is in two weeks, which says 'Tokyo race ask M and T'. I wonder who that is? And what it is?

"Hey Mel, whatcha doing?" Darren asked walking through the door. His sudden appearance made me jump and grab hold of my chest. "Jesus Christ Darren, you sure know how to scare a woman" I moaned catching my breathe. "Ah sorry" He said rubbing the back of his neck, I just chuckled and walked back to the desk and sat on the chair. "So how can I help to boss?" I said teasingly. He laughed and leaned against the door. "Nothing much, if you werent so young..." He trailed on, but I cut him off. "Eurgh Darren you perv" I screamed making him laugh louder.

"Im sorry" He said between laughs, after a while I just chuckled along. "Whats going on in here?" trey's voice boomed, making me and Darren look at each other with seriousness, but then burst back into laughter. "He was trying to seduce me" I cried, putting on a fake scared face, making Darren laugh more, even though he's alittle older, he's so funny, and so down to earth, or I could say 'down with the kids'.

Trey's hard face, softened as he realised we were messing about, "Right, you two need help, Rhianna race ready" He said only quickly glancing at me, I nodded and walked out leaving Trey and Darren in the room, I then walked to my car, which was now a Black MG, not my favourite but will do, and started up my engine ready for the race.

(Not going to do the race, the same thing happens.. go round a track, bang bang boom, finish line!)

I past the finish line ahead of the other two drivers grinning, I parked my car just up from the finish and got out, shaking both my components hands who both said well done for my victory. 

After that I went back to the office where Trey and Darren where in deep conversation. "Hey guys, you okay?" I asked taking a seat next to Trey. They both nodded, and Darren spoke, "You win?" I nodded with a huge grin on my face, I love winning, the feeling of rush and excitement, its hard to explain but I love it.

"Yeah that seems to be the case, quite alot now" Darren said chuckling, "Thats why I wanted to talk to you both"  I looked at Trey confused and then back at Darren. I hope to god there not getting rid of me.

"Trey already knows about this but every year, theres a big race that goes on in a different country and so on, last year we didnt go for it, well because are racers werent good enough, but this year, Trey had become a very good racer, and well you, your amazing for a girl, if you dont mind me saying" He said.

"Wait what are you saying?" I asked getting seriously confused.

"Im asking if you and Trey would like to go to Tokyo to do the big race?" He asked grinning.

So thats what the Tokyo thing was on the calender. I was kind of surprised that they actually had stuff like big races, it sounds to much like 'fast and furious' films. 

"Wait so we travel all the way to Tokyo to do a race?" I asked still confused, he shook his head. "You will travel to Tokyo and stay there for a week, everyday is a race, you a Trey will race seperatley, obviously monday will be the first race so on to friday which will be the final which is four racers, I will warn you though Melissa, there wont be many girl racers, and what they are of them, will be as horrible as ever to you, this is their territory, but I think you deserve a chance".

I let everything sink in, me,Trey, Tokyo, racing my heart sped up at the thought, and I began to bubble with excitement. "Oh my god yes!" I screamed running at Darren and giving him a huge hug. Trey was smiling at me, and nodded, I knew he would do it, racing was his life.

Me and Trey stayed a little while and dicussed how we were going to do everything, school finished next week for term, so I didnt have to worry about that the only thing was Rhianna, what the excuse will be used. 

We have two options: Just tell dad that im going away for awhile and Rhianna the same, and just hope she doesnt find it a coincidence Trey has gone aswell, we say me and him are going away for some other reason, or tell Rhianna what's going on.

At the moment were not sure, I go for telling Rhianna because I hate lying to her, but then I dont want her to get mad, but Trey likes just going away and hoping no one notices, which I dont think will work. 

"We will think of something princess, there is no way I am letting this opputunity slip away because of this okay" Trey cooed walking back to his car. I nodded and got in my own, driving back home, wondering how the hell we were going to do this, and what's it going to be like racing in Tokyo!
