I growl at the idiots, ashamed to call them by name. They all stand in a crowd, completely still under the dark blue glow.
I glare at them with my red vision. The Elders watch through the walls that I can see through easily. I look to the Elders, then back at my group. A few of them had started fighting and I growl lowly to myself before jumping all the way to the back.
"Stop this insolence! This is basic training, not basic moron!" I howl at them all. I hear a few whimper and one urinate himself. Emotionless, I walk through the crowd back to my command cylinder.
"You are all old enough, and smart enough, to help create a habitable world. I am strong enough, and stern enough, to train you. But I cannot train a bunch of fifth ages lunatics who do not have the capacity," I get really close to the troublesome one, "to understand that you can be killed if there is life on that planet. That," I go back to walking, "or you piss me off enough that I tear your head and arms off before you have the time to sense it."
They all gurgle amongst themselves quietly. I grunt and jump onto my command post and turn to face them again. "So you're either going to smarten up, learn your abilities, and not screw around." I howl at them sternly, slowly scanning the crowd.
Some of the younger ones shiver with fear, but the caring older ones comfort them and hiss at them soothingly.
"It's only fight. No running. You are the hunter, they are the prey." I growl calmly as I slowly move around the room.
"I am only one, there are a hundred of you left. You should be able to scratch-"
One of them gurgle in amusement.
"What's so funny?" I order as I draw near the amused one. It looks at me in fear, hearing my heavy footsteps, my tongue sliding across my teeth, as I stare him down, even if he can't see me.
"Well...?" I push, impatient.
"You are a killing machine, sir. How do you expect us to get our hands on you?" He asks. I laugh, amused. I turn to the rest of them carefully, scanning them all and bolting through my memory to remember how they fight.
"You can land a few hits on me. Even if it's just one of you. You're fast and silent. Now," I turn my back to them and stand, relaxed, "someone hit me." I order.
I feel all eyes on me and wait for one to run at me as quiet as they're able to.
After a few long moments of gurgling and hissing, they all go silent and form a circle around me. I nod and scan them over, listening to their organs and hearing the thump thump thump, determining whether or not they're nervous or calm. I lower my head and sit down, staring at the floor.
None of them move for a while, nervous. But my patience still stands. I refuse to let them go to waste. This long time and countless millennia training them and myself be all for nothing.
Why bother? My conscience had endlessly asked. Now I can answer.
For my elders and my dying sister.
One of the students attacks me first and I swiftly turn the move against her. Rolling and throwing her off and out of the ring. Two more run at me. My acute hearing catches them both and all I do is duck. Their heads hit each other's. I grunt in amusement, then one catches me off guard and bites my throat, aiming to kill.
Growling, I reach and almost rip it's head off. It yelps in pain before I smash his head into the ground, blue blood spilling all over the dark floor and onto my face. Nearly hitting my eye.
