Chapter 4: Settling In

Alex's POV

I was walking everywhere for Aphmau. I found her talking to a girl with red hair and a white fox. " Oh hey Alex! This is Nicole." I bowed to Nicole and she did the same. I liked her style. "Nice to meet you!" Said Nicole. I signaled Aphmau that I wanted to talk to her. " Oh um. Sorry Nicole I'll be right back!" We started walking and I started talking. "So I was wondering, I was taking to Garroth and we spared and I was wondering if I can stay here? I can be a really good and loyal guard! I'm very stealthy and as you can see..." " Alex! Of course I'll let you stay here!" " Really! Thank you! I was also wondering why people around here keep calling you lady Aphmau?" " I'm the lady or lord of the village. "
I did not see that coming. I knew she was important in some way!
"Well thank you! I will start on my house and ask Garroth on the whole guard thing. I'll see you later lord Aphmau!" " ok bye! And just call me aph" I nodded and walked away.

5-6 Hours later

I can't believe the progress I made on my house. It looked like Aph's house but it was black instead of purple. I built it in the forest yet close to the village. I want to stay hidden just in case Okas'is guards come to look for me.

I ran down to the guards tower an ran into Garroth. "Finally! I've been looking every where for you!" I yelped. "Why?" "Aphmau agreed for me to stay here. And I wanted the guard job." " Awsome! So you are obviously in so tomorrow your post will be at the village entrance. Here. " he gave me some iron armor. I tried it on over my cloths and it covered my front and back including shoulders. Then it went down my legs but not my shoes. He hand me a helmet and I declined as I put on my hood. The armor looked awesome on me and I was really exited. " see you tomorrow morning then." Said Garroth as he left.

I wonder what it's going to be like?!? What if some Okas'is guards come? Or I can't get along with the other guards! I relaxed and just went to sleep into my new bed inside my new house. It was nice to be at peace for once. It was nice to be away from Zane.
