Chapter 23: Remember

Alex's POV

I woke up this morning alone. I was confused and scared. I don't know who I am nor what I'm capable of. I started to think, when I heard a knock on my door. I slipped on a black blouse with some blue jeans and a boots. I opened the door to see a girl with white hair and wearing all black. Her eyes were a mystic purple, hypnotic. "Hello! My name is Sasha. I heard that you lost your memory so I'm here to bring it all back." She said. "Your really forward sent you?" "Yep! Now let's go!" She took my wrist and ran.

She lead me to an opening in the middle of a forest, which looked vaguely familiar. Something caught my attention when a man in white came out of the bushes. "Do I know you people?" Sasha stepped forward to talk to the man.

S- "Zane! She doesn't remember a thing!"

Z- "So? She has memory loss."

S- "Stupid! It means we can manipulate her! Instead of killing her, we can make her become one of us!"

Z- "Perfect."

I couldn't hear a thing they said. "So am I missing anything or-" "Oh no no! You just hang on there and we'll tell you who you truly are." Said Sasha. She gave out a big grin as she looked at the man. He began to speak. "First let me tell you about your past. You came from a long line of lord from your village. Your father was a very bad and cruel leader. He sent you to guard school and was about to force you into marriage. You also have a brother that wanted you to go into marriage. Your other brother on the other hand, thrived to save you so you can run. That man with blonde hair is your brother. He's trying to keep you in the village and turn you bad. But don't you wonder why I look like you? I'm your younger brother, Zane. I'm trying to save you from him. All those people that tried to help you yesterday, are trying to keep you captive."

Garroth's POV

I needed to help Alex with her memory. If the wrong person finds out, they can manipulate her. I walked to her house and saw the door wide open. I walked inside and looked around. I couldn't see anyone. I looked on the roof, no one. I looked throughout the whole village and asked all villagers, but no one knew where she's been or where she even is. Decided to look in the woods, maybe she could be in the place where she got hurt? I ran there. Then I saw Sasha and Zane talking to her. Why does this happen! Why can't they just die! I couldn't fail her again, I couldn't fail lady Irene.

Alex's POV

I heard some rustling and spin around. I saw Garroth sprinting towards me. He got in front of me and took out his sword. "GET AWAY FROM HER!" He yelled. My eyes started turning white. I don't how or why, I could just sense it. "Is it t-true Garroth? That your just trying to keep me here just to get me to marry someone I don't love?" I said in the verge of tears and madness. "NO! Who would tell you something like that!" I looked over at Zane. I didn't know who to trust. Garroth was trying to protect me, but Zane was trying to help me remember who I was. "AAAAAAAAAH!" I felt a strong pain on my back. I fell on my knees and looked back. I had two huge black wings. I knew what I had to do and I flew up, way up. I landed in another part of the forest where they couldn't find me. I was so confused, so scared. I don't know what to do.
