Back to the Future part IV

Part 10

Sunday, October 27th, 1985. 11.45am

Scott straightens up and sits back with Suzy, when there is another jolt and the plane cuts out again.

DOC

I was afraid this would happen. The force of the temporal displacement has forced the cable apart again. We're not too far from the ground. I think I can land it now, hold tight.

The DeLorean/bi-plane takes a dive, but Doc manages to level it off. He skims over a roof of one of the new houses being built at Hilldale and with a bump lands it in the field across the road.

Along Hilldale Road. Marty and Jennifer are driving along in Marty's 4-by-4.

JENNIFER

Marty, did you see that?

MARTY

See what?

JENNIFER

I heard a loud bang, and what looked like a plane came down over there.

MARTY

I didn't hear a crash. I would imagine whoever it was is okay.

JENNIFER

I suppose.

MARTY

What were you telling me Jen?

The 4-by-4 pulls up at the traffic lights.

JENNIFER

Marty, that dream I had is so real. It was about the future. It was about us...and you got fired.

Marty acts surprised.

MARTY

Wait a minute, what do you mean I got fired?

Marty looks out the window and sees he's next to the Hilldale housing estate.

MARTY

Hilldale. Hilldale! This is where we live!

In the field next to Hilldale. Scott and Suzy run to the traffic lights. Scott is carrying his backpack. Doc makes his way in his own time. Needles and his gang pull up in his truck next to Marty and Jennifer. Huey Lewis's Power of Love can be heard playing out of Needles's truck.

SCOTT

What'll we do?

SUZY

I think we're too late.

Doc catches up with Scott and Suzy. The two trucks rev their engines.

DOC

You've got to let it happen. If not, you would never have gone back to 1925 in the first place and consequently here.

SCOTT

How are we gonna get to the future now. The plane is a write-off!

The conversation is interrupted when the traffic lights change to green. Needles shoots forward and Marty back. They see the DeLorean come into view, flash as to travel through time and hit the 4-by-4. The DeLorean vanishes leaving two trails of fire down the road and the 4-by-4 is thrown into a roll over the side of the road. Further down the road, Needles truck swerves a Rolls Royce and speeds off into the distance. The Rolls Royce heads along and pulls up to see what's going on. Scott comes all over all faint and sinks to the floor.
