Wednesday, October 21st, 2015, 7.49am.

The screen fades into opening credits.

The Back to the Future Part IV logo appears on the screen and the Back to the Future theme tune is heard.

The camera flies around an early morning 2015 landscape of Hill Valley taking in the sites of the town including Courthouse Square and the Clock Tower. The opening credits appear during this scene. The camera eventually heads down a street and eventually ends up at the McFly household before fading to black.

A clock starts kicking and Wednesday, October 21st, 2015, 7.49am appears and fades.

A clock is shown on the wall in Scott's bedroom. The camera pans down to an alarm clock on the bedside cabinet. The clock switched to 7.50am and an alarm goes off; Scott groans and then gets up out of bed.

Scott, now dressed, heads along the upstairs landing of the house carrying his skateboard. He pauses at the corner when he hears his sister Marlene McFly, aged 19, talking to their brother Marty Junior, aged 17.

MARLENE

Stay away from him Marty; you'll end up in so much trouble. You know Griff Tannen is bad news.

MARTY JUNIOR

But Marlene, you know what he's like...

MARLENE

He's just a bully. You need to stand up to him.

MARTY JUNIOR

You know I hate confrontations. Stop nagging me sis'.

MARLENE

I'm only "nagging" you because I care about you. You're my twin brother and you mean everything to me. If you end up copping the flak for Griff Tannen I don't know what I'd do.

Scott comes into view and the two siblings end their conversation.

SCOTT

Morning bro, morning sis, don't stop on my account.

Scott carries on walking towards the living room, something his brother and sister said makes him look puzzled. He shakes his head and continues.

In the dining room. Marty Senior and Jennifer are having breakfast.

JENNIFER

I know today's the day Marty; we've just got to act like we don't know what's going on.

MARTY SENIOR

If we intervene in anyway it could cause one of those paradoxes Doc used to go on about.

JENNIFER

But we don't live in Hilldale anymore. It's all going to be different.

MARTY SENIOR

Some alternate version of what happened is bound to happen, once today is over, it's all over, we can get on with our lives.

JENNIFER

I'm nervous about seeing myself aged seventeen again.

MARTY SENIOR

Well you know if it happens, you know what to do. Just cry 'I'm young' before pretending to faint...

Scott enters into the room and Marty shuts up. He has that puzzled look on his face again after catching the end of the conversation.

Jennifer acts all nervous.
