Chapter~11~ Truth is better then lies
Skyler's POV
When we got into my room Cody sat on my bed and I sat next to him. "So....what's up?" He asked looking at me. "Yesterday I got this letter from this girl and she claims to be my sister...I believe her but there's something about her that makes me not want to" I said now looking directly at the ground. "What is it?" He asked. I looked up at him "Kian was the one who found the letter....it was dropped off at the front step....but Kian said he saw something when he went to go pick it up... he described it to be a shadow...and I'm thinking that shadow was my sister" he looked at me confused. "Where's the letter?" He asked. I got up and went to my dresser and opened the last drawer and pulled it out. I walked over to Cody and gave it to him. I sat there as he read it. A few minutes passed and he looked up at me "did you call the number?" He asked giving the letter back to me "yeah....and actually I went to go see her a couple hours ago...that's why you could not find me". I said "then why did you not answer any of my calls?" "She had really bad reception there...." he looked at me then said "Okay". I was expecting him to be mad at me. Or even ask me if I was lying. But he just said "okay". When Cody left to go home I took a quick shower then went to bed.
Kian's POV
When I woke up I went into Skyler's room to wake her up but she was gone and her bed was made. That's weird. I grabbed my phone and called her.
Call~
S- Hello?
K- Hey!....where are you its Saturday...you don't work on Saturdays?
S- I'm not at work...I'm at Megan's...she asked if I could come over...sorry I did not tell you its just that you were sleeping and I did not want to wake you up
K- okay...call me when you leave
S- okay!...bye
K- bye
I hung up the phone and went into the kitchen to make breakfast. As soon as I stepped in there was a plate of pancakes on the stove and Jc was sitting at the table eating. I grabbed a plate and sat next to him "good morning" he said as he took another bite "morning" I said "so....how's the whole Skyler has a sister thing?" I looked at him. "What?....I'm curious" I laughed and said "I don't know yet...Skyler has not said a word to me since she saw her sister lastnight" I said as I took a bite "must be weird for her you know...she just found out she had a sibling through a letter....I would be quit too man." When we were done eating I did the dishes and went upstairs.
