Chapter~14~ Bad things happen sometimes
Kian's POV
I got out of the car and ran to the door. When I got inside I saw Skyler. I ran to her. "Kian.....I can't find him anywhere!....." Skyler said trying to wipe her tears away. "Have you checked every room yet?" I asked looking around "no...not every room just the kitchen" "okay....hold on" I said walking into another room which turned out to be the living room. Nobody. I decided that I would check the bathroom. Which was the hugest mistake I've ever done in my life. When I walked in I saw Cody tied to the bathtub and he had duck tape wrapped around his mouth. He was still alive. I walked over and tried to take the tape off but I heard Skyler's footsteps coming closer to the bathroom door. I did not want her to see Cody like this. "Kian?...did you fin-" I ran to the door and closed it before she could walk in "kian....why did you close the door?....is Cody in there?" I saw the doorknob turning. "Um...no he is not....I'm just looking for something that will help us find him" I replied"Okay...just hurry up....I don't like to be out here alone" she said sounding worried. "Okay.." I said back then ran back to Cody. "Cody?" I whispered "Cody....wake up" I said slapping him on the face lightly. He opened his eyes. He started to freak out. "Its fine....its fine" I said trying to keep him down. I took the tape off and the first words out of his mouth were "where's Skyler?" "She's fine....she is out in the living room....she does not know that you are in here" Cody's eyes widened. "What?" I asked
Skyler's POV
I walked up behind the bathroom door. What was taking him so long? I put my head up against the door and heard Kian talking to somebody. Was it Cody? I listened more carefully and I heard something that I did not want to hear ever in my life. I was not suppose to be out here. I listened a little bit carefully. "She can't be out there by herself!" I heard Cody say. I smiled. I know that this was a very bad time to smile but I felt a relief that he was alive. Then I continued listening. "Why?" Kian asked "because.....have you ever asked me how I got here in the first place?" Cody said sounding worried. A few seconds I felt a hand go around my mouth. I could not scream.
