Chapter 18

Chapter~18~Whole Again

Skyler's POV~

I woke up to the sound of music. I looked over at my alarm clock and it read 9:15. I got out of bed and got into the shower. When I got out I brushed my teeth and walked over to my dresser. I pulled out a white tank top that said "Came here to win. Not to lose." then I put on light blue ripped skinny jeans along with my black and white Nikes. I put my hair in a messy bun and walked out of my room. I  bumped into Cody. "Good morning!" I said pecking his lips and started walking to the kitchen. "um....you might not want to go in there" he said stepping in front of me. "Why?" I said now curious. "oh, you know....Jc is making a surprise breakfast for you and does not want you to see it until its done" he said scratching the back of his neck. "your lying" I said now crossing my arms "Why would you say that" he said slight panicked. "Because whenever you are lying you tend to scratch the back of your neck a lot" I said giggling "No I don't!" he said now red. I smiled and gave him the look. "what's that for?" he asked "tell me" I said now serious. it took him awhile and then he broke. "Me and Jc are planning a surprise party for Kian for when he gets home" he quickly covered his mouth "why couldn't you just tell me that?" "because I know you.....as soon as I would tell you, you would go tell Kian" I laughed a little "see!" he said picking up my phone from the desk and putting it in his pocket. "hey!....give that back!" I said trying to get it back. He smiled and kissed me on the cheek. "you will get this back when Kian gets home" then he walked into the kitchen. I followed.

Cody's POV~

When I walked into the kitchen with Skyler behind me Jc panicked "wai-" "its cool...she knows" I interrupted "you just couldn't do it could you?" he said getting off the ladder and walking over to us "im sorry...you don't know what Skyler does when you don't tell her something right away" I looked at her all scared "boo" she said laughing. Jc looked at us both weirdly and continued decorating.

Kian's POV~

"I got the word....is it time for me to go home yet?" I said to the nurse that was taking all the wires and tubes off me "I think so...yeah....its your lucky day" she said smiling. I heard my phone vibrate on the table. It was Jc. "hey!" I said into the phone "Hey....feeling better?" he asked "yeah....have you seen Skylar?" I asked "um....yeah she at home with me....she's hanging out with Cody...why?" "just asking...because she has not returned any of my calls" I said now confused "oh....well I'll talk to her" "okay...well see you later" "bye" I hung up the phone and grabbed my suitcase and headed for the door.

Skyler's POV~

"hurry up!...Kian's on his way!" I heard Jc yell as we were finishing up the last few touches. I put a huge banner above the door so that Kian can see it when he opens the door. It read "WELCOME HOME KIAN!" in big letters. I got off the ladder and smiled "it looks great!" I heard Cody say behind me "you think so?" Cody walked over to me and wrapped his arms around my waist "I know so" he smiled and we kissed. Jc came walking in "aw!...get a room!" he said covering his eyes "calm down" I said laughing. Jc's phone vibrated and he looked at it. "Kian's pulling into the driveway!" he said running to the kitchen to clean up the leftover scraps from the decorations. Me and Cody turned off the lights and got to our positions. Jc was the last one to finally get to his spot. We waited for a few seconds and we heard the doorknob turn. The door opened and we stood up and yelled "SUPRISE!" he turned on the lights and laughed "guys...I was in the hospital for what?....a day?" I ran to Kian and gave him a hug. "im so glad your okay" I said through his shirt "me too" he said hugging tighter. "well who's hungry?" Jc said breaking the silence "me!" Cody said already running to the kitchen. The rest of us followed.

Hey guyz!....so did you like the book?....I made extra long for you guys since I ended it so early. But yeah....I definitely can not wait to start the sequel to Love at last....oh and I even started writing the first chapter....Its called "where the love went" and no...Kian and August do not break up...my sister thought that's why I named it that....but anyways thank you guys so much for reading this book it means a lot to me and yeah....see you in the next book!...byeee!
