"You dick!" I scream. The shadow runs a hand through his hair, pulling Paige onto the sand, drenched and cold. He looks up at me.
"Jordan! What the actual hell?!" I run and kneel beside her freezing body. I put an ear to her blue lips,
"she's there, I think she's cold as hell" I glare at Jordan, he starts to resuscitate her.
"You know, you should be ashamed Jordan" I glare at him.
"Well, at least I was there to save
her from you!"
"She didn't need saving! Do you have a problem with me?!"
"You don't deserve her" was all Jordan said.
"Well at least I'm able to let her do whatever she wants! I can and will take good care of her!"
"Oh yeah? Then did you take good care of Kate?"
"Jordan! That's enough!" I turn to see Tucker and Sonja run down the sand dunes, holding Paige's leather jacket.
"You know Tom doesn't want to talk about that Jordan..." Sonja props Paige's head up onto her lap. Tucker came to sit next to me.
"Did you ask her?" he whispers
"No, Jordan tackled her into the water before I could ask her" I looked away, into the sea.
"Sorry Syn" he pats my shoulder "try asking her out to dinner or something, just the two of you"
"Yeah, I don't want that overprotective fart there" Tucker huffs.
"I think we should get her back to the apartment, she won't be getting any warmer in that dress"
"Yeah, I'll call a cab" I run a hand through my hair, spiking it up at the front. Sonja hands me her phone.
Crap, my phone was in my pocket when I went into the water.
The taxi soon pulled up, by then, Paige was awake and spluttering. I put her jacket around her shoulders.
"Thanks" she shivers.
I'm glad she doesn't know what happened.
