Till It's Time

Chapter 3 - Assurance

Jade looked at the brown notebook in her hand. She traced her fingers on the gold embosed letter "A " on its cover. Its still crisp and looks almost new or just been used. There's no one around this part of the park when she saw Althea or even after she left.

She opened it and surprised to see the familiar hand writing, the fine cursive stroke...it is Althea's Journal...

Get up, what do you think you're doing? She cursed herself for acting this way...You have moved on, how about Cathleen??? Suddenly Althea felt a rushed of guilt. "Damn it!" She brushed the dirt from her pants, how long have i been sitting here? She asked herself. She took her hanky and wipe the sweat and tears from her face...took a deep breath and start to walk towards the black Fortuner where Cathleen waits. She can see that Cathleen was looking as she approach the vehicle...Althea was looking back at her...Cathleen went out of the car and Althea walks fast towards her , she hugged Cathleen...not saying a word. She hugged her tight stroking her hair. She burried her face on her neck. She tried hard to hold those tears...please dont start it, but her tears have a mind of its own. Cathleen spoke first "Hush its okay...let it out..just..just cry it babe.."

Althea has not say a word since they left the park. Her head is pressed in the passenger seat. Eyes Closed.  Her hands rested on her lap.  Cathleen glance at Althea's reflection in the rear mirror. She can see her pain...but she is also feeling heavy inside. Looking at Althea and realizing Jade's effect on her after all this time...

Cathleen leaned over Althea and gently stroke her hands.."Babe..do you want something to eat? You have not eaten since lunch..." Althea look at Cathleen and smiled at her she nods as she cups her cheeks...so gentle that Cathleen shivers, she has not leaned back so it was easy for Althea to plant a kiss on her lips...it was gentle and long..."thank you...for loving me...I love you Cath.."
Cathleen smiled and replied "And I am so in love with you Althea"

Random thoughts...so Althea has been writing. She hesitated for a moment, she respect a persons privacy and she felt that what ever Althea is writing here could be something special...

Jade turn the page...

These words, they are sad and longing...why has she written this words?  Her heart felt heavy even more why is it that the words seems like speaking to her. She closed the notebook not wanting to see what else has Althea written.

Goodbye...Althea did not say goodbye to her.  She was sorry that she did not wait for her...there was no Goodbye.
