Chapter 26-All You ever wanted 2

" I looked back Althea... but ...you have walked away..." And her tears flowed freely, making her knees weak.

" Oh God...Cathleen...I am so sorry..."
Althea walks fast towards Cathleen and hugged her. They were crying together. Althea did not say anything anymore. She just locked Cathleen in an embrace. Cathleen atlast able to speak...
"I'll be okay Althea...I am happy for you, Jade has finally found her way back to you." She was caressing Althea's face. "What's with you? Why is it so hard for me to hate you?" She forced a smile. Althea tighter her embraced with Cathleen, she was like a child resting her head at Cathleen's shoulder , she just cry.
" Hey! I will be okay...i will still remember you, your face, your poor sense of humor...everything about you..but I'll be okay..." She was smiling comforting Althea
" You know Cath...it is much better if you hate me...than this? It makes me feel so unworthy of you..." Althea speaks while crying ,she kissed Cathleen's forehead
" I love you Cath...with all sincerity. Please remember that "
" But you just love Jade more..."
Althea did not answer but embraced her again and gently caress her hair.
Althea look at Cathleen, she saw the tears in her eyes. Althea kissed her lips , in every touch of her lips she can hear her own heart breaking to pieces again. The kiss was long and gentle , just feeling of love and respect she have for this Woman. When they stopped, Cathleen smiled
" I missed that and I will miss you." Cathleen forced a smile again
" I wish I could love you more Cath...And do what you want..I wish I could be All you ever wanted..."
They hugged again.
" I understand..." She took a deep breath "I just need to be alone..."
Althea closed her eyes...and nods. She kissed Cathleen again in her cheek, she goes Out of the room. Althea knows that Cathleen cried after she closed the door.

Althea felt so heavy, she want to scream the pain. She tried to calm her self. Before going downstairs.

Althea didn't know how to start, it was Cristina who speaks. Do you want to tell us something? Althea nods as she seats besides Christina.
Althea's voice cracked, she was holding her tears.
"Mom, Dad...me and Jade are back together...I told Cathleen about it already,  Im sorry but I hurt your Daughter again..."
It was Kiko who answered
" Anak , I know you never intended to hurt her... Cathleen is a strong and independent Woman and she knows when to hold on and when to let go...She will be fine dont worry. "
This time Cristina speak
"And what is important is you were honest with her...and with your self, You are a good person and you deserve to be happy. We want you to be happy"
Althea now crying.
"You know Cathleen might have lost a Girlfriend but not Love...and most importantly and what we are thankful is she gave us another Daughter..." There was tears at Cristina's eyes
Althea hugged her and she cant say a word except thank you.
It was Kiko who broke the drama..
" Wait...that Jade have a Monster Father right? you better let her know that I am a retired Colonel and tell his Father that he better be good to you coz I will not mind spending a few bullets on him if he will ever try to harm you.." He was smiling but he knows he is serious.
Althea hugged him " I'll be okay Dad..dont worry.."

Althea felt relieved now that she was able to tell Cathleen and her Parents atleast on that part. Although  she did not plan it to happen too soon.

Jade was sitting infront of Oscar, Amanda and Ama.  Her face serious.
" So what is it that you want to tell us Jade?" Oscar looking intently at Jade

" Dada, I just want to let you all know that I have found Althea and just recently we have decided to get back together. Dada I still love Althea, I love her with all my heart. I am asking you to please respect our relationship. I am not asking for your acceptance but to let us live our life in peace.  I am begging you to spare her with trouble. I waited so long for this love to comeback and this time I am not letting go, For the past years I live my life.... just waiting for each day to pass. For the longest time I felt that I
was not really living...but when I saw Althea again I feel that I am alive , I have never been happy like this.  Dada,Mama i respect and love you. And I am asking you to please let me have my happiness.

Jade was crying now.

"My dear Jade, i am happy that you have found your love again. i will support you." Ama console Jade
Oscar was quiet and has no expression on his face. Amanda was teary eyed, She remembers all the pain that her Daughter has endured. She is ready to accept anything just to see her happy again.
"Jade your happiness is what I have been praying. Dont worry, We are behind you."
Amanda glanced at Oscar she show him her conviction. She dont care about what he thinks, She only care for Jade.
"Jade, I will not try to stop you this time but dont expect me to like that Woman. I still dont agree with your relationship."
Oscar face was straight and without emotions but It was enough for Jade.

" Thank you Dada...it is more than enough for me. I just want a quiet life."

It was almost Dinner, Miggy and Kiko was playing Chess the Old Man was surprised with the challenged by Miggy. He was delighted that he has become this competitive. " You are giving me trouble young Man"
" You thought me well Lolo..." Miggy smiled at him
Althea was loving the competition between the two, even Christina was pleased and was enjoying the scene. A hand touches Althea's shoulder from the back, she look and saw a rather sad but smiling Cathleen she holds that hands and let it rested on her shoulder. Cathleen sat besides Althea and leaned on her. Kiko look at them and winked at Althea. Inside Althea it lighten her heart but at the same time she felt a slight pinch inside, how can she hurt this people.  But she was grateful to God , you really love me for giving me this family. They both enjoy watching while the little Man slowly defeats his Old Man.

They had dinner together, The night went well. Althea and Cathleen was the usual, like nothing has happened. Cathleen excuse herself coz she need to send some email, Althea had alone time to call Jade.

"Hi! I have been waiting for your call. I miss you Love..."
" I miss you too Love...how are you?"
" I'm good..so when are you coming back?
" Tomorrow morning, then I will need to take an off from work on Tuesday. I will take someone to the Airport.."
" Oh who?!"
" A good friend...by the way can you free your schedule on saturday? "
" Sure why?"
" Nothing...I just want to surprise you."
" So who are you taking to the airport again?" Her voice curious
" Jade...It's ... Cathleen...she's here, she arrived this morning..."
" W--What?" Jade's now on panicked mode
"Dont worry you have to trust me that's why I am telling it to you...Jade you have nothing to worry..." Althea's voice was calm and with assurance.
" Did you tell her already?"
" Yes, she knows already. I told her parents also..."
" So? How did she take it? I mean..."
" Jade...please...let's not talk about her..."
" Love ...what about tonight?"
" Huh??What do you mean?"
" Where are you gonna sleep? Are you in the same room?"
" Love..Yes as well a Miggy, Hey! stop your dirty thoughts..."
" My goodness! I cant Althea....can you sleep in another room?"
" Jade!?! Please...I told you to trust me okay?"
" I trust you but not her..."
" You are funny jealous girlfriend.." Althea was smiling

They talked for almost an hour with Jade still finding ways to mention her not being comfortable that Althea is sharing a room with Cathleen. Althea was not successful at changing the topic. But eventually was able to convinced Jade that she'll sleep on the couch and that they both need to take a rest.

Althea was asleep when her phone rings. It was Jade again. Cathleen was still awake working on her laptop. She wakes-up Althea and gave her the phone. She checks time its past 2Am. She shakes her head and thought , so Jade has this habit to call someone at wee hours. She cant hardly hear Althea's words, she was too sleepy to talk. Then she heard I love you and bye. " So your GF have a habit to call at wee hours?"
" And you have a habit to work like there's no tomorrow" her eyes closed. what do you mean a habit?" This time Althea straight up and look at Cathleen.
"Oh nothing..forget it" she thought of what Jade did in Singapore. " Cath can you take a rest now its morning" she also noticed that she still looks busy so Althea ask again " do you want coffee?" Cathleen nods and smile at her " Thanks Babe.."
After a few minutes Althea came back with coffee for Cathleen. She thanked her and point her cellphone...Jade calling again. Cathleen placed her fingers motioned a cut throat and giggled at Althea. " You've got some jealous Girlfriend over there..." Althea smiled and signaled Cathleen to be quiet. She answered Jade again...and again..and again...
