Chapter Thirteen

The opportunity to talk to Zayn wasn't arising and by the time the movie had finished he still hadn't left his room. He must be hungry by now so he was obviously really annoyed with me.

"Guys I might just go and deliver some food to Zayn." I said as I got up from the couch.

The boys just nodded and started watching the next movie, which I guessed was action packed because I could already hear the sounds of shooting and speeding cars. I walked to the kitchen and made Zayn a normal sandwich, hoping that I wouldn't be ridiculed with sandwich jokes from the other boys.

I shuddered at the thought of hearing, "Demi make me a sandwich!" from Louis and hoped that this was worth it. I walked slowly down the hallway towards Zayn's room, the furthest away from the kitchen and lounge. I knocked on the door and heard a groan from inside which I only assumed was Zayn attempting to speak.

I didn't know whether I should open the door or not so I stood awkwardly outside, shifting my weight and trying to convince myself that this was a good idea.

After about a minute the door opened and a shirtless Zayn was standing before me. I struggled to keep my eyes on his face as I held out the sandwich as a peace offering between us. I grinned foolishly as he took the plate and gestured for me to come inside. I walked in and he shut the door behind me.

He hadn't shaved in a while and his facial hair was starting to show. It was probably bad that this made me more attracted to him and I tried to ignore the constant pull towards him that my body seemed to have.

"I'm sorry." I said as he sat down on his bed. I didn't think it would be a good idea if I sat down next to him so I leaned against the wall, playing nervously with my thumbs. He looked at me and sighed before eating his sandwich. I stood awkwardly as he demolished the sandwich. Was he really not going to speak to me?

"Good sandwich." He said in between mouthfuls. My heart dropped and so did my gaze as I looked towards the floor. I was about to leave when he stood up and cupped my chin. So much for keeping a safe distance from him.

"I'm sorry too." He said sincerely and my eyes met with his. His chocolate coloured eyes made me feel warm and I started to worry that I could easily fall victim to his lips. My gaze had quickly wandered down to his lips and I nervously looked back up at him.

"I shouldn't have thrown myself on you at the pool." He said, although he looked like he didn't believe what he was saying.

"I saw Harry getting close to you and I got jealous, but I shouldn't have kissed you. Hell, you even had a boyfriend at the time. Oh and I had a girlfriend." He said as he combed his fingers through his hair in frustration.

No don't comb your fingers through your hair. I can't deal with that. My thoughts were running wild and I took in a sharp intake of breath. He moved his hand and now he had both arms on either side of me, trapping me against the wall. I tried to tell myself that this wasn't affecting me and I wasn't attracted to him and I was failing miserably.

"It's okay." I stuttered out

"I'm sorry I kissed Harry. I didn't know you were there but that's no excuse..." I started to mumble before he put a finger to my lips.

"It doesn't matter now. You're with Harry and I'm with Perrie." He said, almost spitting when saying her name. I flinched at the mention of Perrie's name.
