Chapter Fourteen

When I woke up I could feel that Zayn was no longer with me. Part of me was relieved that he had listened but most of me just missed the feeling of his body so close to mine. I looked around the room and saw that no one was up so I walked down the hall into Zayn's room.

I had no idea why I went straight to his room but I had a feeling that last night had something to do with it. I opened the door wide enough to wedge myself into the room and then shut it straight after. It still made enough noise to wake him up.

His hair was messy and his face was flustered as he looked around his room to see what made the noise. His face immediately relaxed when he saw me.

"Hey." I whispered.

"Hey." He whispered back with an evident smile on his face.

"Come here?" He asked patting an empty space next to him on the bed.

"Okay." I said, still whispering, before walking over and laying down on top of the covers.

"Don't you want to come under the covers?" He asked snuggling into them even more.

My body was more than happy to think before my brain and I quickly cuddled under the covers with Zayn. He immediately put his arms around me and pulled me right up against him. He was so warm and my legs quickly entwined with his.

"When did you leave last night?" I asked into his neck. He shivered at the feel of my breath and I started to wonder what he would react to. Like what if my lips touched his neck? What if I kissed his neck? Licked it? Or bit down.

"I left at about four in the morning." He replied, his warm breath blowing onto my hair.

"Oh." Was all I could say. Why did he have this effect on me? I couldn't even think straight around him.

"Demi?" He asked, running his fingers through my hair.

"Mhmm." I replied mesmerised.

"Why did you come here this morning?" He asked in a whisper. My mind went blank and my palms were clammy and my heart started to race and I knew he could feel it speed up because his body froze for a second.

"I could've asked you the same question last night." I said trying to hide my feelings with a witty comment.

"Fair call." He replied with a small sigh.

"Zayn, what happens when you leave?" I asked, afraid to hear the answer.

"You come with us?" He joked.

"But what really happens? Like has this happened with other fans before?" I asked pulling away from him and watching his face intently.

"I'm not going to lie, we have gotten with fans before." He said, pausing when he saw my reaction. I wasn't shocked but I knew my face gave away the hurt I was feeling.

"They've only been like one night stands. We've never spent this much time with a fan Demi."

His words made me smile and I was very glad that was he was saying seemed genuine.

"It's almost been a week and you're only here for two weeks." I mumbled.

"Demi, none of us will forget about you." Zayn said stroking my hair.

"Especially not me." He added nervously.

"Where are you going after New Zealand?" I asked, afraid to know the answer.

"Australia for another two weeks and then the USA before going home." He said, his sentence lingering on the word home. Every bone in my body wanted to stay in his bed but my mind told me it was a bad idea, all of this was a bad idea.
