Chapter Fifteen

We made a quick detour on the way back to the hotel and went to my house. I didn't know if my mum would be home or not but I figured if she was she could finally meet Harry.

We got out of the car and Harry took my hand in his, making my heart beat a little bit faster than normal. I unlocked the front door and walked with Harry into the lounge where I saw my mum sitting on the couch reading a book.

"Hi mum, this is Harry. Harry, this is my mum." I said as my mum got up to shake Harry's hand.

"Nice to meet you Mrs Watts." He said, smiling his best smile and standing up a little straighter.

"Nice to meet you too Harry." My mum said to him.

"How do you know my last name?" I quickly asked Harry. Had I told him it before? I was sure I hadn't.

"I have my sources." He said grinning.

"Harry, please call me Lisa." My mum said to Harry before turning to face me.

"There are a few messages from your friends on the answering machine." She said and I walked into the kitchen. Harry followed me. I pressed play and suddenly felt a bit guilty, I hadn't been in contact with them for quite a few days. I hadn't even told them about Ryan. And I definitely hadn't told them about One Direction.

As I expected their messages were about those two subjects.

"Demi, please tell me you've met One Direction at work and I can meet them too!"

"Demi. Answer your phone."

"Is it true that you and Ryan broke up?"

"DEMI!"

After the last message I realised I should probably talk to them, I'd been a pretty bad friend lately. I didn't mean to be, but I was spending all of my time with One Direction. I risked peeking a look at Harry, who seemed to be deep in thought.

"What are you thinking about?" I asked sliding up to him and resting my head on his chest.

"How many friends do you have?" He asked.

"Um two close friends and a couple of others. Why do you ask?"

"Do you maybe want to invite them to the hotel tonight? They're obviously fans and I'm sure the boys wouldn't mind meeting new girls." He said and I almost squealed.

"Really? How many should I bring?" I asked as calmly as I could manage.

"Maybe just bring your two close friends, otherwise it might be hard to get them all in the hotel." He said.

"Okay, by the way Harry, thank you." I said reaching up to him and giving him a small kiss. I would have kissed him for much longer but I didn't want my mum walking in on anything awkward.

"No problem. Now you go invite them and I'll try to convince your mum to let you stay another night at the hotel." He said as he started to leave the room. I quickly rang my two best friends, Hannah and Paige in a three way call.

"Hello?" Paige answered first.

"Hey it's me, Demi, just wait until Hannah picks up." I said and almost immediately after I said it, Hannah picked up.

"Demi this better be you telling me that you're marrying a member of One Direction and I'm invited to the wedding." Hannah said as she picked up.

"Almost. Wow do you always answer the phone like that?" I asked with a giggle.

"Shut up and fill us in!" Paige said, her voice a few octaves higher than normal.
