Retiring for the night, Blair's head wasn't on straight. There was so much more to being a queen than she had thought - it was nothing like the queen of England's job. The government would be run by her and not only did she have to give input but had to make the final decisions. What did she know?

"Ma'am, here's your coffee. Vanilla, as you asked," said Layla, Blair's eager new maid.
"Thank you, Layla. Also, please don't call me Ma'am, I am not queen yet," Blair answered.
"Of course...princess?" Layla asked. Blair shrugged in reply and Layla skipped off. An eager thing, she was. Then again, the salaries being offered would make anyone jump for joy.Today was the day of the court cry, and Blair was currently vaguely terrified. A teenager named Al Pasterly had...well, Blair wasn't sure but would probably know by the end. Something to do with a skateboard? Huh.
Sipping her coffee, Blair caught the sight of a certain tiny replica of her slinking in the corner. "Hey! Brianna!" she shouted.
"Hey, Blair," said Brianna, who looked like her puppy had been run over by a truck.
"What's up? Has your puppy been run over by a truck?" asked Blair.Brianna sighed. "Nothing much. It's just...we seem to be on probation. You're doing really well - everyone seems to love you. People here don't get kids though. They probably haven't had one in the palace for years. I was offered a glass of wine last night, and when I refused, they asked if I had more of a taste for bourbon. I mean, come on!"
Blair stifled a laugh. The people here were clueless, completely clueless. It was hilarious. She shouldn't laugh but...she laughed. Brianna was irritated for a moment, annoyed by her sister not taking her complaint seriously, but she soon saw the funny side and the sisters rolled around in tears on the beautiful rose-and-snow bed.
