Chapter 53: what a performance

*time skip to 11pm at the night before performance

Yukiko POV

I tossed and turned while trying to sleep. It's been a week already and still no news of Coco. Is he goona be okay? He asked me to trust him and i did but i couldn't help to worry for him. I turned to my right and saw Lambo was sleeping soundly while snoring. He looked so kawaii while doing that.

As i continued to observe him, i realised that he kept pulling out his 10 years bazooka. I got up quickly wanting to stop but he went ahead of me. I stood back hands blocked the smoke when suddenly a hand grabbed me. "Yukiko sama come with me." I couldn't react fast enough but was dragged along by whom i presumed was Adult Lambo.

He grabbed me all the way to the school roof and let go of my hands. "What are you doing Adult Lambo?!" "Listen to me Yukiko sama!! We have been searching for you for the past 1 night! Young Yukiko sama, do you know where the old Yukiko sama went?!" I shook my head and he passed me a letter while sobbing badly. "This...this is what Yukiko sama left for me... Young Yukiko sama...what should i do?"

As i opened it up and read, I immediately understood what the adult me was doing. The time had come and yet the future me had not been able to find the cure for the curse. The letter was an evidence of what Bachina did and i followed suit.

"Gomene adult Lambo, this is what the future me has to do in order to let myself and you guys be better. Go back and tell everyone not to bother about it anymore. Remember what i said to Tsuna, don't ever treat me like a friend at all." I patted his head and smiled even i was holding the tears upon seeing the adult Lambo crying. "No Yukiko sama!" And just when he was about to come closer, the 5 minutes was up.

Before the current Lambo dropped, i caught him in the mid air. I carried him and climbed to the top of the rooftop with my jacket wrapped around him. "Yukiko..yukiko... You are pathetic. By the way adult Lambo doing, that means i am still with the Vongola. Yukiko, you really need to stop hanging out with them." I hugged my knees to myself when i felt someone threw a coat at me.

I looked up and saw that it's Hibari. "Did you hear.." "It's already this late you shouldn't be hanging around." I was being cut off before i continued. He came down at my side and sat with me. "What are you doing here?" I asked and he answered me that he was doing his duty. We kept quiet for a while before i thought of something.

"Hibari, what grade are you in? I know that you are older than us but you aren't the same grade as Ryohei senpai." He looked at me and signed. "I don't have a grade. Because i want to stay here forever." " why?"

He looked away from me and smiled. "The Hibari is the mayor of this town for many years. When i was younger, my grandfather was the principle of this school while my otto san was the mayor. I spent most of my childhood time with my grandpa so i grew to like this place. Even more when grandpa told me to take good care of this school"

"That's why i want to stay here as long as i can." I looked at him and stared. This was my first time seeing such side of Hibari. I looked up and saw multiple of stars and pointed, "Ah Hiabri look!" As i was admiring the stars in the sky, i felt my rainbow seal heated up and touched it. Everything in the air changed.

"What should i do Koneto?" The glasses male looked up from his laptop. "What do you mean nii san?" He looked away in embarrassment and whispered, "i think i want to ask Saku chan for the dance.." The glasses guy adjusted himself and asked again, "Saku chan?" His brother nodded. "I didn't know that you like Saku chan.."

"I don't know when.. But i like Saku chan more than what i felt for Sami, which is like a younger sister to me.."
"If that's the case you should go. I'll support you nii san." "Really? Koneto?! Thanks a lot!" He went out and the glasses guy turned back to his laptop. When he typed again, i saw the content of the previous document.
