Chapter 57: 7th of July (part 2)

Yukiko POV

I heard someone's yell. I turned and saw that it was from Konito san. It was chaotic enough with the mess outside but it seem like Saku san was about to give birth now. "Come and help her!" Both Koneto san and Sami san ran towards Saku san as quickly as possible. "What happen nii san?" "I don't know..I'm talking to Saku then i saw water.. Her water bag broke just like that." "Calm down the both of you..i will do something about it. You two go get me the things i need!" She blabbered everything required so quickly that i doubted that they understood anything at all.

However, everyone was so nervous and was trying to calm down so they just ran and collected whatever they needed or remembered because they came back almost imedicately. They came back too quickly because they didn't manage to hear what Sami said exactly and only collected some back. "This is not enough!" She yelled at them while Saku was in pain.

I followed both of the guys hoping that they would get everything needed for Saku's labour. "Nii san, don't worry about anything. We are goona be okay." Koneto san said as he ran side by side with his brother. "I'm not worrying over myself. The sign is coming soon and i know that as soon as the sign is out, everything will be over." At first i don't understand what he meant by everything would be over. If only i noticed it sooner, he..i meant they couldn't have died.

~2 hours later~

They went out for the third time to replenish water needed for the labour and Saku san was already in the mid of the labour. "Nee san..1 2 push!" Sami san had been chanting that ever since then. They came back this time with everything needed. "Saku chan hang on. Remember what i told you. The sign is now and i got to go. Ai sta ru.." Konito san said to Saku chan and kissed her on her forehead before he ran out with Koneto san chasing after him.

"Nee chan!' Don't worry! Koneto kun will bring him back.' "N..no..he won't be back." "Nee san! He will!" "Ah..n..no. He won't. The third sign is coming real soon. It's been raining from yesterday till today... And that triple rainbow will appear soon.."I wanted to run after Konito san and to find out what exactly happened to him but what Saku chan said hooked me on.

She was in pain but she continued to explained as much as she could to her sister while she was still in labour, just to let her understand what I'm and how important I'm . In the mid of giving birth, she kept on fainting, sometimes in and out or conscience. Sami did her best of trying to encourage and helped her nee to relieve her labour pain.

If only i could do something to help..i mean i learnt all the skills of a doctor to save lives!! Not to stand by and watch!!

I looked at them helplessly and cried as they struggled. This was indeed a long suffering of labour. It took more than hours to finally deliver the baby. To deliver me.

"Nee san!! Nee san!! Look!!! It's your baby!" Sami chan tried to wake the tired Saku chan up. Her eyes were half opened as she shifted herself to look at the baby and embraced her baby. "T..thank.. God.. You are safe and sound...Y..Yuki...Yukiko.." I nearly lose control of myself when i heard her calling my name.

So Konito san and Saku chan are really my Otou san and Okaa san?!

I felt weak all of a sudden. Having to witness how tough my parents' lives were and how difficult i was when my Okka san was delivering me broke my heart.

She clumsily kissed on her baby's forehead and whispered something loud enough only that the people presented were audible. "Yukiko..you are Yukiko Tomaru... You are the special chosen one. Though the journey ahead will have lots of ups and downs..many thing will come in you way i should say..but..but always know that you are well loved by your Otou and Okka san. Be strong.. Yukiko.." "Nee san!!! Don't say such words!! You are goona live and take care of her!!" Sami cried while carrying her nee san in her arms.
