"If we're going to save him, we need to hurry,"Aaron says. "Who knows how to clean a bullet wound?"

"I've saved people from shark bites, if that says anything," Sarah says.

"Okay, that means, you're better than me, so you help him and I'll help Elena," Aaron says and nods to encourage her. He then turns to me. "You'll be okay." I roll my arms. Of course I will. I'm still standing and breathing.

"How about we find in that cave?" the other kid, Bernard, asks and Aaron nods at him.

After resting his head on a flat rock, Sarah nods at us. "I got it from here," she says and looks back over at Jon. "I'll be done soon. Hopefully I can still save him." Aaron nods and I follow him out of that part of the cave.

I sit down on the ground. Aaron sits beside me and grabs my arm softly, but shake his hand off me, sending a sharp pain up my arm. "See, let me help you," he says and takes my arm again. This time I hesitantly let him. Weird boy who stares at me is trying to help me. Nice.

I sigh. "This may sting a little, but it's the only way to clean it," he says and places a wet leaf on my arm. I bite the tip of my tongue to stop him from me from screaming. "Sorry," he says and I just nod stiffly.

"How do you know how to do this?" I ask.

"My grandmother was apart of the Rebellion. She used to be a healer from District Thirteen when others were hurt. That's where she met my grandfather. Healing is important to her so she taught me." Aaron wraps the leaf around the wound and gives me a sly smile.

"And why do you stare at me like that?" I ask and he chuckles.

"You think I'm a weirdo, don't you?" he asks. I look down, not wanting to answer that question. "That's why you didn't want me to fix your wound. Well, if it means that much to you, I think you're really pretty."

I look back at him. "Thanks for the lie," I say. "I'm not pretty." Aaron looks at me funny. "What?" I'm not pretty. My eyes are too dark and my light brown hair makes me look funny. Mixed up. Unlike Ben, who's blonde hair doesn't look weird with dark eyes. And too add, I'm on the smaller side of normal for my age.

"I can't believe you don't see it," Aaron says. "I'll be right back," he says and walks out of the cave.
