The living room looked presentable once Harish and his nephews thoroughly cleaned it. The garbage was taken care of, remaining biriyani packets were neatly stocked inside the fridge. Ganesh arranged the cup noodles according to their level of spiciness, lining along the kitchen cupboard. This time, Ramesh had fished out a comfortable bean bag from the mall and placed it on a side of the rug, concluding that the bottle green colour complimented the dark red rug.
Yellow light outside began growing ultramarine blue.
"The kitchen has been stocked for another week" Mukesh told his uncle.
"Good job" he said, and turned on the lights.
"The people in the mall are becoming weirder" Ganesh sighed, "Did you see how they watched us back then?"
Ramesh smorted, "Myabe because we appear from the bathroom everytime"
"Log toh dekhte hi rahenge" Harish sighed, "Our job is to keep our stomachs full"
"Right!!!"
Jeeva arrived in the living room, his pink face content with afternoon sleep. Noticing the triplets dusting the sofa cushions, he helped them to lift the wooden lid, where Mukesh stored extra pillows and blankets. He helped Ramesh put a new bulb in the kitchen, making him comment that even IPL's demolition matches wasn't as startling as his sudden change of nature.
"Is there anything else I can help with?" Jeeva asked after returning.
"Bara shuddh vyakti ban gaya tu" Mukesh smirked.
He gave a weird stare, "Mai alwayth tudhh hi tha"
"But aaj zyada hi lag raha hai" Ganesh added, "Jaise tera crush text back kiye ho"
"Who? Angel Priya?" Ramesh laughed.
"Where did you get those headphones from?" Jeeva noticed a pair resting on Ganesh's shoulders, big enough to become his ear's personal couch.
"Mall" he put it on.
A gust of wind blew inside, carrying dry leaves and dust which scattered on the floor. A ball of lightening crashed in the skies, dissipating into a hundred grumbles egregiously and everything flashed purple and white. Needles of rain pricked their arms and faces and Jeeva cried out for his mummy.
"Everyone's shoes!" Harish remembered.
"I'll put them properly" Ganesh walked out.
"Baarish agaya rabba rabba!" Laxmi sang, holding a can of pineapple juice, "Careful though, it's acidic"
"Acidic?!" Jeeva shuddered and looked outside, "That rain is acidic?!'
"Hoho yes" she took a sip, "But don't worry. Nitric acid here is diluted and primarily works as soil fertilizer. I liked the idea when it was performed, but it became a failed concept"
"Acid or normal rain" Ramesh fished a coffee bean into his pocket, "Not sleeping in this weather would be a waste"
Jeeva followed Ganesh into the porch to help him. The scientist drank her second canned juice, smuggled a biriyani packet from the fridge (though Mukesh had clearly noticed her) and returned to her basement after wishing him good luck.
Harish took his coffee mug and sat down on the couch. One whole cabinet was stuffed with his French press, twelve types of flavoured coffee, coffee beans, a jar of honey and milk sweetener. Tea was there for a change of things; he had guilty pleasure for fancy mugs as well.
"Mamu"
He looked up at Mukesh, "Kuchh hai?"
He shook his head. The weather was making him shiver since he was only wearing a sleeveless tank shirt with some Marvel superhero picture on it. Approaching the sofa, he halted, then decided to sit beside.
