Sullen wind blew over the shard-like towers. Kindled in ivory white, the dimensional castle remained suspended in the night sky like a freshly scrubbed platter serving delicacies of fraud. It housed from the four corners of the world the prestigious underground race who will doom the world into destruction. It was being ceremoniously decorated, leaving even perfectionists crying in the wind.

A short, chubby and glum kitchen manager who walked out of the castle whilst ticking off enormous checklists in. It was the entrance where the grandest preparations were being undertaken- umbrellas streamed with diamonds were held by dignified, whispering carriers on both sides of the long linen carpet that drove kilometres inside the mandap.

Restless cooks reminded him about the scarcity of waiters. He muttered incoherently.

A hand pressed his shoulder.

Turning around, he discovered a new face.

"Your lack is addressed, sir"

"You?" Kitchen manager D'Souza eyed the smiling boy dressed in pink suit and white turban, "In my whole career have I ever heard event managers having stock waiters"

"But now we do" Gyan heaved the waiters forward, "Extras never goes to waste"

The manager craned his neck, his pupil rising up and down as if taking a visual interview.

Both waiters looked unusually young and sheepish, fidgeting with the towels draped over their arms. The shorter one was scratching his cheek and adjusting his tight black apron.

D'Souza stopped at him

Badri grinned awkwardly

Thanking the event manager, he led them inside the castle, briefing their list of chores, the end of which rolled out of his feet and travelled across and dragged behind.

A band party with snoozing trumpets round their necks passed through the guarded entrance. Jaded guards in dark grey uniforms squeezed their hats and checked their trousers, till half the members stood with their pants down. Earphones pieces beeped in their ears, something Mega Robot could own, but the duo could not understand why they were wearing black sunglass at night.

The buff guard swayed metal detectors over the musicians and checked their entry cards. Suspicious of the new faces, he thundered,

"Who allowed them inside?!"

The manager explained his current situation while walking in with little steps.

The guard peered down at the sweating duo before seizing their believable cards to check. First he took out the metal detector, then a microscope, then put them in an X-Ray scanner before attaching an eye glass and peering like an archeologist.

"Relax friend!" A young guard slipped the cards out of his fleshy hand, "If the manager took them in, they're valid isn't it?"

"No intruders are allowed inside this castle!" he bellowed, "If any alien dare enter-"

"We have six lakh people to feed" sneered the manager, "Kindly excuse us"

Badri glanced at the guard.

Ramesh winked behind his shades. There were CCTV cameras in six different corners around.

The buff guard continued playing with the metal detector, absent-mindedly.

"What is it that's bothering you?" Ramesh asked, "Swiggy ya biwi?

He stared aggressively.

"These scratches may look badass on your face, but their numbers are very concerning. Madamji ko anger issues hai ka?"
