Henry's POV

I had slept in today and gotten a well-deserved twelve whole hours of rest. I had woken up in my room at my mom Regina's house and stared out the window, blinking the sleep out of my eyes. I headed downstairs and ate breakfast with my mom, not bothering to change out of my pajamas. She had already been up for a few hours and Robin and Roland were over. Roland and I ate a few pancakes- he had wanted to wait for me until he ate breakfast. Roland could be annoying at times, but it was fun having a new kid in the house. I treated him like my little brother.

I had finished my third pancake and stood up out of my chair. I walked over to Roland and ruffled his curly brown hair. He grinned up at me.

"I'm going to go get dressed, I'll be right back down." I told him, but my mom, being the protective mother she is, overheard.

"It's supposed to rain today so make sure to grab a rain jacket! Robin and I were going to see if the Charmings have found anything new about Emma, you can come with us if you'd like." The mention of Emma's name made my heart jump. I had been with her for a little over a year now and it was hard not knowing where she was or if she was okay. She had sacrificed herself for all of us, and now she may be in trouble. Everyone was trying to find her.

I nodded, "Sure, I'll be quick! Then we can head over." I ran up the stairs and quickly changed into my usual jacket and red shirt. As I was brushing my hands through my hair to fix my bedhead, I glanced out the window. I looked down the street a bit, and stopped in my tracks.

The Charmings, Hook, and someone else I didn't recognize were all standing anxiously in the middle of the road. A few seconds later, they all backed up and a large purple portal opened where they had just been.

I immediately raced down the stairs.

"I have to go mom! The Charmings, they-" But I was already out the door and didn't finish my sentence as I was already short of breath. Regina immediately opened the door.

"Wait, Henry! Where are you going!" But I didn't respond as I was already halfway down the street. I ran as fast as I could, the ground a blur of gray beneath my feet. My legs burned and I could barely breathe but I kept going. As I neared the portal I sped up.

Just before it closed I made it in.

Hook, Snow, and Charming were all looking at me like I was an alien. The other person, who I now knew was a girl, just looked confused.

"Who are you?" She asked, her voice had a slight Scottish accent.

"My name's Henry. I'm Emma's son." She looked slightly surprised, but she didn't seem very phased.

"Well, whoever you are, you can either come along or stay here. Either way, we're leaving now."

The rest of the group quickly brushed themselves off and stood up. We all began to follow the girl. She had her frizzy red hair up in a bun but as we walked she undid her hair and let it fall around her shoulders in thick heaps.

I moved so that I was standing next to Killian.

I whispered, "Who's she?" I asked him. He looked down at me, amused but also not phased. I guess with all the things that have happened in the next few months, few things could truly surprise any of us. He didn't even seem interested in how I got here.

"Aye, her name's Merida. She's the daughter of King Arthur. Apparently Emma sent her to find us in Storybrooke and bring us back here." I could hear the sadness and worry in his voice, and he stopped talking as he got choked up. I didn't say anything either, just nodded, trying to process everything.

Merida led us up a long set of castle steps, there must've been at least 30 of them. They were tall and wide, made of stone that was obviously cracked and wearing out. We reached the front door, and the door was worn out as well. It was tall and curved at the top, with beautiful stained-glass windows above, casting a colorful shadow on the patio. The door was made of wood but there was moss growing around it. The castle reflected the current Camelot- a strong base but still trying to repair itself. I had read about the war in my books. They were struggling to rebuild their society.

Merida knocked on the large door using the metal knock on the doorknob. It slowly creaked open, and a man stood on the other side. He looked to be in his 30s or 40s. He was fairly tall with brown hair and scruff on his chin and above his lips. He grinned, looking relieved.

"Welcome!" He greeted us. Merida ran into his arms and he hugged her, kissing her forehead. He whispered something to her that I couldn't make out. "Welcome, welcome all of you. I'm so happy Merida found you. Your, uh, friend is downstairs, follow me. She's expecting you."
