Three hours later Brian peeked through the door.

“How’s it going?”

“Good. Really good.”

Some people shook their heads behind me. I was beginning to lose hope.

“Some are really good. Have the steps memorized. Others need a little bit more practice.”

“Ok”, Brian said “show me what you learned.”

He sat down facing the group. I stayed with them. “I’ll do the choreo with you guys. You’ll be fine.”

“Hmmm,” Brian said after the group finished the choreo. “I’m happy to say that some of you were really good. Some of you were okay, maybe you will become better if you practice more. But a few of you really need to work on their body language.”

I nodded silently. I knew exactly who he was talking about.

“I’m going to call a few names now. Please go over there when you hear your name.” Brian said, getting up from his spot.

After he was done there were 6 people standing on the left side and 9 remained on the right side.

“You six you did quite well. I’d like to take you over to my group.” Brian said and I saw how the remaining 9 hung their heads in shame. “The rest of you will continue practicing with Aly.” He said and left, leaving me with 9.

“Ok, I know that was mean right now, but we should probably go back to rehearsing.”

“It doesn’t even matter,” I heard someone say and raised my head. “We’re crap at dancing. And we can’t improve until tonight. The judges will throw us out.” He finished and sat on the floor.

“Zayn, you’re giving up way too soon!” the boy with the curls, Harry, said.

I noticed now that Zayn did indeed incredibly bad with the choreo.

“Alright, Liam, I reckon you did quite well during the choreo. I want you to practice with the rest. Zayn, you come with me.”

Liam shot me a puzzled look, but didn’t protest. I grabbed Zayn and led him out of the room.

This was going to be a tough one. Tough because I was only 17 myself, and I was trying to be the teacher. A role model to the others.

“Look, I know you have it in you.” I said and he looked up, smiling. “You need to be more confident!” I continued and he looked back down.

I sighed. “I don’t know how important it is for the judges that you guys can dance. They want us, well me,” he looked up, smiling again, “to stay with the top 15 contestants for two whole months.”

“I don’t know how your vocal abilities are, but if they want the top 15 be good singers AND dancers we might have a problem here.” I slid up right next to him.

“I wanna help you make it through to the top 15. I really see potential, as stupid as that sounds right now, coming from me.”

“I can’t do it till tonight!” he mumbled.

“Not with that attitude,” I said and yanked him up by his shirt, “come on, let’s find a quite space where I can teach you the steps.”

An hour later we returned to the practice room. Liam and the rest were sitting on the floor, completely exhausted.

“Let’s do the routine one last time,” I said with whatever energy was left in me. I was exhausted too.

“Nice, really nice job guys. Well done.” We all applauded ourselves for making it through today.

“Can I talk to you for a minute?” I asked Liam and he followed me outside.

“Thank you for teaching the rest the choreo while I was practicing with Zayn.” He gave me an understanding look.

“That will be our little secret,” he said with a smile. I smiled back, relieved.

That’s when I saw Brian coming down the hall way. “It’s time.”

I took a deep breath and went back inside. “Alright, it’s show time.”

While we were all walking towards the stage, Brian pulled me back to the end of the line and whispered “I didn’t tell anyone that I’ve divided the group. I just thought it would be fun for you to teach your own group and besides that, it would be really tough having to look at 30 people at the same time.”

“I understand.” I said.

“Thanks for that. It was really a great experience.”

We arrived at the main stage. I could see Simon sitting in his chair. Looking annoyed. It was probably a long day for him too.

“Hello again,” he stood up now, addressing the contestants, “as you know today’s task was to learn the routine Brian and his assistant prepared for you. You’re going to dance one last time in front of the judges and Brian, in groups of five and then we’ll decide who’s in the top 15 and who has to leave.”

With that I left the stage and sat down behind the judges’ panel.

Brian stood up from his seat. “I just wanna say a few quick words. I’m extremely proud of you guys. You’ve done a terrific job considering you only had one day to learn the routine.”

Leave the pep talk to Brian. I chuckled. I knew exactly what he was doing. Simon would go hard on them. That was for sure. I just hoped the guys of One Direction would make it. Zayn told me they all had amazing voices. A little cocky if you ask me but I believed him. And it would be a shame to eliminate a great singer just because he’s wasn’t a good dancer.

“Group 3 you’re up next.” I heard Brian say. I was so lost in thoughts, I missed the first two groups. I saw Harry and Zayn were still waiting to dance for Simon and the judges.

“Where’s Zayn?” a familiar voice yelled. My head shot up. What was going on?

I searched for the big hazel eyes, but I couldn’t see them on stage. Simon got up, walking backstage.

“What is going on?” I looked at Brian, silently mouthing my concern.

He just shrugged his shoulders.

*Cliffhanger*

~I'm just having a hard time trying to figure out how to continue this part. On one hand I wanna write it really detailed. On the other hand I think the more detailed it is the more boring it gets.

Thanks to whoever is reading & I hope you enjoy it! :)
