I know this chapter is very short but it’s just a filler and the next chapter will be much longer.

“You’re hurting me,” Emberlynne managed. Bryce slammed her room door open and tossed her in by her hair. The room was warmly lit by a butterfly lamp on a night stand beside her bed.
“Shut up,” He said. Emberlynne hit the floor with a thud. Her curls had begun to fall and her hair was now draped over her face. She clutched Guppy tightly in one hand and struggled to pull herself off the floor with the other.
“You thought I forgot about all that shit you did.” He said referencing when she attacked him in the dinning room. Emberlynne stood up swiftly and swung at him. He leaned out of the way just barely missing her fist. She swung a second time just managing to clip him in the side of his neck. He caught her wrist and used it to slam her down again. He shut the door behind him and locked it.
The sound of the lock click made Emberlynne’s stomach churn. She wasn’t going out like this again. She would fight him to the end. Emberlynne stood up and wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth. Her stance was a bit unstable and she swayed slightly. Bryce pulled is shirt of revealing a body that some one might appreciate one day if he wasn’t a pedophile. He had a couple of tattoos on his arms and wrist but Emberlynne couldn’t quite focus her eyes enough to read them.
“Look at you, you can’t even stand straight.” He said coming over to her. She flinched holding her arms defensively over her face while squeezing her eyes shut. He caught her upper arm in his iron grip and slammed her on her bed. Her wool comforter was not a welcome sensation on her skin and nor were her down filled pillows. She sat up quickly when she felt his weight on the bed. He took hold of her arms before she could swing at him again and began to shake her violently before him.
“I don’t see why you fight me, your mine. You think your gonna run away with that little prick of a boyfriend of yours?!” He yelled at her, pulling her to his chest so she had no other option but to stare in his eyes. Her hair was wildly displaced and covered her face so she looked like the little girl from The Ring. Emberlynne took the opportunity to spit in his face.
“Go to hell.” She muttered. He shoved her back onto the bed and wiped his face. She tried to sit up again but he forced her down with a hand on her throat; not quite gripping her hard enough to choke her. He straddled her hips to keep her from kicking him. She slapped him harshly. The sound of her hand meeting his face echoed loudly through out the room. He grabbed her wrist and restrained her by pinning it to the bed above her head.
Emberlynne could feel her heart race and the pure adrenaline racing through her veins. It was sad to say that she got a thrill out of fighting him but that thrill soon turned to terror.
“NO!” She managed to squeal but he tightened his grip on her throat, cutting off her air. She just struggled underneath him. He noticed she was clutching Guppy with her free hand.
“What’s this?” He asked snatching Guppy from her. She tried to scream but only managed a high pitched squeal. She tried to reach for Guppy but he held him over her face, just a little out of reach.
“Give ‘em back!” She said beating her free fist uselessly against his chest.
“Maybe the bunny wants to play with us,” He sneered at her. Emberlynne was beginning to turn red in the face with the lack of oxygen and tears of panic were escaping her brilliant blue eyes. She scratched and clawed at him.
“Is this what you want?” He smiled down at her pretty face dangling the limp rabbit over her. Emberlynne reached for it but he kept her at bay. She gritted her teeth in frustration. A faint clicking sound invaded the room and both froze.
“Bryce, I need you to come down here, there’s a mess in the kitchen.” Mother’s voice broke through to them on the intercom. Bryce groaned and rolled his eyes. He got off of Emberlynne and scrambled toward the speaker mounted on the wall; Guppy still in his hand. He paused and turned slightly to look at Emmy.
“You scream and I’ll tear off his limbs one by one.” He threatened. Emberlynne pressed her mouth in a thin line. Bryce took that as confirmation and pressed the little black button on the speaker.
“Coming,” He sang sweetly into the speaker. He snatched his shirt off the floor and put it back on.
“I haven’t even started with you,” He said. Emberlynne would have ripped his throat out if he wasn’t holding the most precious piece of plush in his paws. He held up Guppy; his limp arms dangling and the thin line of thread that was his mouth was sewed into a faint smile. The light from the lamp glinted on his button eyes as Bryce dangled him back and forth.
“I think I’ll take him with me,” He said. Emberlynne got off of the bed immediately intending on rescuing Guppy but she stopped cold in her tracks as Bryce took hold of one of Guppy’s arms and yanked it harshly threatening to tear it off. Emberlynne came no closer.
“I thought so,” He said and exited her room. Emmy felt her heart leave with him. A panic over took her. She couldn’t survive without Guppy. Her blue eyes flooded with tears as she began to pant heavily. He heart raced and her vision began to blur a little.
Am I having a heart attack? She thought. But Emberlynne was wrong, she was having a seizure.
Her knees went so weak that she fell to the floor. She rolled onto her back; vision fading. Her muscles began to contract at first moderately until they gradually reached a violent state. Her body began to convulse wildly and she lost consciousness.
