chapter 23

MIA'S P.O.V.

   * Two weeks later *

It's good to be back to normal, i'm happy, and with Jason. It can't get better than this.

   " Ok, so i'll pick you up tonight at six?", Jas  asked, " Sure.", i said. " Mia, i love you.", he added. " I love you too Jas.", i said kissing him lightly on the lips. He smiled.

I went into my house, and jumped up in joy. Jas and i were going on a date, i mean, this wasn't our first, but, this time, it was a surprise. I wonder where we're going. He's so romantic.

Brice had to go out, thank God, he wouldn't be here to tell me how he thinks i'm too young to date. He's so over-protective

As time passed, i started to prepare. I took a warm bath, combed my hair, and put on a red, simple, but beautiful dress. I was so nervous, i felt my heart beating rapidly.

It was 5:57pm, i was pacing up and down.

JASON'S P.O.V.

I was heading over to Mia's house to pick her up when i heard a girl's scream. I looked around, and saw Shelly, she was surrounded by a bunch of dangerous looking guys. I parked quickly and jumped out. Even though i didn't ike her, i couldn't let her get hurt. " Shelly!", i called out to her. " Jason?! Oh Jason, help me!", she pleaded.

" Shut up you slut! Give me your money!", one of the three guys around her yelled. She was crying. "Leave her alone.", i ordered them. " Who the hell are you?!", one guy asked. " Just get out of here.", i told them. One of them came up to me and tried to punch me, i dodged and punched him so hard he fell. Another guy came out and tried to beat me.

MIA'S P.O.V.

 It was 6:10 and i started to get worried. Did he back out?  There was then a knock on the door, i opened it hoping for Jas, but it wasn't, it was Darren.

" Hi Mia.", he said. " Um... Darren. W... what are you doing here?", i asked him. " I came here to say i'm sorry, about... what i did to you. You know, the day that i kissed your cheek and..", he trailed off. " Yeah. It's ok.", i said. " I also wanted to say that and ask if you  could help me with a problem i'm having.", he said. " Darren, i have plans, Jason will be here any minute now.", i said. " It won't take long, i promise, please?', he asked. I bit my lip. "Ok.", i said, letting him in.

JASON'S P.O.V.o

I got Shelly away from those guys without hurting them... a lot. My plan was to going to pick Mia up, drop Shelly off at her house and carry Mia on our date.

I looked at my watch and saw that iy was 6:40.

Damn, i'm late!

I called Mia and she answered. " Hello?", she asked, " Hey, Mia, i'm sorry i'm late, i'll be there in a few minutes. I'll explan everything.", i said, " Ok, Jason.", she said, then i heard someone in the background. It definitly wasn't Brice, it was that bastard who touched MIa that day, Darren. I listened closely.

MIA'S P.O.V.

Darren spoke unusully loudly as i was still on the phone. " Mia, i love you.", he said comming up to me. " What?!", i exclaimed. " Mia, i love you, be with me, and forget Jason.", he said. " Mia, What is that bastard doing in your house?", Jason asked angrilly through the phone. I was frozen, i didn' speak.

I then heard the line o dead, and a car door slam from outside, Jason was here. " Mia?",  Darren called. I turned to face him, he crushed his lips against mine, i heard the door fly open, and Jas came in. I tried to push Darren off, but but he was too strong. When i finally got darren off of me, i saw Jas walking to his car, i ran to him. " Jas!", i called. He kept walking.  I ran up to himand held his hand, " Jas, listen to me, Darren--", i continued, but he cut me off, " Mia, do you love him?", he asked harshly, turning around backing his car. As i was about to say no, i saw Shelly in his car smiling wickedly at me. I was too shocked to see her in his car to speak. He took my silence the wrong way. " See? You can't even answer. I'll see you in the morning at school. I'll give you time to finish things off with Darren.", he said coldly. " Jason, wait!", i yelled. He took a deep breath, " Mia, i we'll talk in the morning. I need to go.", he said getting into the car. A tear ran down my cheek. " Jason.", i called. He drove away.

I slowly and painfully  walked back to my house. I started to cry. The feeling i had when Jas broke up with me returned. " Mia?", Darren called. " Darren, please, just leave.", i said, " Mia...", he trailed off. " Just go. Please.", i pleaded. Darren slowly left. I continued to cry. Why did this happen to me? and when Jas and i just got back together.
Why? Why? Why?
