Dakota's POV
We got into Jacks car, and we drove for a while, laughing all the way. We blasted the radio belting out the words to songs like Trouble Maker, Party in the U.S.A, We Found Love and I'm Sexy And I Know It. We pulled up to a cliff side, out looking a beautiful view of the sunset, the sky full of different colors, like red, orange, yellow, and little hints of purple-ish colors. Jack got out of the car and came around to get my door, I grabbed his hand, which was politely extended infront of me. He sat on the hood of the car, and patted the space next to him. I sat down, looked out on the sunset.
Jack scooted closer, putting an around my lower back, grabbing my hand. I looked to him, and saw the smile on his face get bigger, I rested my head on shoulder. He rubbed comforting circles on my hand with his thumb, and I closed my eyes, relaxing. We sat there fora while, Jack using his hand from around my to play with the rips on my jeans. I opened my eyes and said,
"Jack, what are we?"
"Well, Dakota, I love you."
"I love you to." He stood up, walked to the car, and turned up the music and 1000 years by Christina Perri came on. He stood in front of me, and said,
"May I have this dance?"
"I would love to." I got off the car, and put my arms around his neck and he put his hands at my waist. The music played and I sang along.
'I have died everyday waiting for you,
Darling don't be afraid,
I have loved you for,
1000 years,
I've loved you for a thousand more.'
"Wow, your an amazing singer."
"No I'm not." I said blushing, looking down.
"Yes you are." He whispered, bringing a hand to my chin, making me look into his green eyes. He leaned his forehead against mine. I closed my eyes, and felt a pair of light lips on mine. I didn't hesitate to kiss back, but it wasn't like, really dramatic and rough, but light and gentle, just like Jack. We kissed like this for a little while, when Jack pulled away, adn tucked a curl behind my ear looking straight into my eyes. He kissed my nose and I giggled, and he said to me in a soothing voice,
"I know I have just met you, but ever since, I haven't stopped thinking about you. YOur perfect in every way and I wouldn't change a thing. Every girl I've met, have had doubts and I've always had to tell the no. But I don't have to do that with you, because you have nothing to change. You couldn't be any more perfect, and I cleary don't deserve a girl as beautiful, smart, amazing, kind, and thoughtful as you. Whenever your round, I feel like I'm walking on air, you just make me feel, like I can do anything, be any one. Dakota Abagil Marks, be mine?"
I smiled and nodded, a tear slipping down my face, putting a hand over my mouth. He took it down kissed me with passion. We turned and he pushed me on the hood of the car. We pulled away, and smiled at him. I flipped him over so I was on top of him. I pulled my self forward to place a kiss on his nose and he chuckled.
We both got up and he looked at his watch.
"Oh, god, the movies gonna start soon!" He said running into the car. I had to follow, cause you know, he's my ride, and I have no clue where I am. We drove until we pulled into the theatre. We bought our tickets, which Jack was taking me to see Safe Heaven, and we bought some popcorn and some drinks and sat in the theatre.
About a half an hour into the movie, we had finsihed our popcorn (I know, we're pigs). I was enjoying the movie when Jack put his arm around me and I scooted to the far wall of my seat and rested my head on the side of his chest. I felt the rise and fall of his chest as I watched the movie. We stayed like this for the entire rest of the movie. And when the movie was over, Jack grabbed my hand and we drove back to my dorm.
He walked me to the door, looked me staright in the eyes, placing his hands on my hips and gave me a nice kiss, it lasted maybe like 30 seconds before pulling away and I said,
"Hey you wanna come over in say an hour, and hang out?"
"Of course, I"ll see you later."
"Bye babe." I smiled at him, and he flashed me a cheeky smile before kissing me on the cheek and walking away. I smiled to my self before turning and opened the door, falling on my bed before kinda laughing and probably smiling like an idiot. But I didn't care. Jack was mine, and only mine. He was true to me, and only me, not any one else, just me. He was my boyfriend.
Boyfriend.
Boyfriend.
Boyfriend.
Yeah, I could get used the sound of that.
And in that moment, I decided,
This will work.
