Dakota's POV
I waited, pacing outside Jack's room with the gang. I had paced for at least an hour, when the doctor came out. He looked up from his clip board to look at the bunch of us. I couldn't read the expression on his face. I couldn't tell if he had good news or bad news. After a little while I stopped trying and kept pacing. I heard a sigh and then the doctor said,
"Who found him like this?"
"Me, well, I didn't find him, the truck," I felt the tears coming as I continued,"it was coming so fast, I had no time to get out of the way, and Jack, he pushd me to the sidewalk, out of he way, letting the truck hit himself instead of me." I looked down, letting out a quite, quick sob. The doctor came towards me and he lifted my face with him hand. He examined my face, and touched it a few places, putting pressure on each one. At a coulple of the places, I winched, and he nodded.
"We need to take you down for testing, to make sure there is no fatal damage." I looked the doctor straight in the eye and nodded, looking over at the gang and said,
"I'll be back soon, text me if Jack wakes up, OK?"
They all nodded and I went with the doctor to be tested. I got to a room filled with machines that, being the stupid person I am, had no idea what they do. The doctor lead me to an uncomfortable-looking hospital bed, which looked very out-of-place, considering that it was in a room full of none bed looking things. Which was weird. Like, really weird. I sat on the bed, pulling my legs over the bed aswell. We did the standard 'lift that leg, put it down, lift the other leg.' Then we did some sight tests, what way is the E facing, and how many fingers am I holding up, and then some hearing test, like what side is the beep on and stuff like then, and then came the questions.
"So, everything looks in order, but we just need to ask some basic questions." He looked at me and I nodded. He continued with, "What is your full name?"
"Dakota Abagail Marks."
"Why are you in London?"
"I'm at the University of London majoring in Engineering."
"What are your parents full names?"
"My mom's name is Marie Claudia Marks, and my dad's name is Phillip Jason Marks."
"How old are you?"
"I'm 19, and I'm turning 20 in a month from tomorrow."
"How do you know Mr. Harries?"
"He's my boyfriend."
"Alright, well, you seem to be alright, so I will let you go, and will let you know future information on Mr. Harries and his health." The doctor nodded, and left to lead me back to the others. When I got back to where everyone was sitting, I saw a new crowd of people, which put me in a better mood. First, I saw my older sister, Nora, and he husband Josh sitting on the end, next to Ari. Nora saw me and smiled, and with Josh's help up, she held her big ole baby belly and walked over to give me a hug saying how much she missed me, cause, I haven'y seen her sense, the funeral, and saying how sorry she was that Jack was like this. I thanked her and gave Josh a hug aswell. I also saw Phil was sitting with Mal. I smield at him and he smiled and waved back. And I saw Drew, whose really dark hair was swooped down, to cover his forehead, and his freckles looked really faded, as he talked to a really pretty brunette, who was apperently, his girlfriend Maddie. It was funny, they almost looked like brother and sister. She had long dark slightly wavy hair, and lots of freckles. She quite petite, or at least compared to Josh, who was a beast, if we're talking height.
And last, but certainly not least, I saw Finn, Jack's twin brother, who legitamently looked the exact same as Jack, which I thought was actually a bit scary, and his girlfriend, who I was introduced to as Helen, and even when she didn't try she looked stunning, with her short-ish dirty blonde hair and sparkling blue eyes. She had hardly any make-up on, which only made her more beautiful. She made me, who was only in a simple beanie, caprees, tee and converse, look like complete and utter B.S. She hugged me and smiled, telling me how sorry she was, you know, about Jack.
