No, I am not about to tell you I ship this.
But I am about to tell you I don't hate it.
As much as I love Percico, I think Nico really deserves an honest chance at having love. I don't think he deserves to be forever waiting for Percy and Annabeth to magically break up.
No one really wants that for Nico, right?
I think he deserves a fair shot at romance.
I think he deserves a real chance to have a healthy life.
And if Rick had decided that this chance wont come to Nico through Percy and he adds a different character instead, well, lets be honest
Its really not the worst thing he's done.
At least he's trying to make Nico happy.
