The hall was bigger than I expected. Bright lights were hanging from the ceiling with expensive crystal chandeliers while soft instrumental music played in the background. Round tables covered with white cloth and decorated with small candles gave the entire place an elegant and professional atmosphere. Lawyers, judges, legal officers, journalists, and people from ministries, everyone was talking while holding glasses of juice, champagne, and coffee.
The stage at the front was glowing under white lights. A giant screen behind it carried the name of the legal award ceremony in shining gold letters.
I pressed my back pressed softly against the chair as I took a sip of the latte coffee.
