What is Rage?
Rage is not shouting anymore. Rage is when Nahella stops crying because even tears feel useless now. Her hands stop shaking, not because she is okay because she is not, but because something inside her has gone cold and déad. Rage is so heavy that it sits in her chest and makes breathing feel slow and painful at the same time.
For Nahella, rage is born from unfairness. From seeing the wrong people smiling while the innocent suffer. From hearing names turn into case numbers, lives reduced to papers and lies. Rage is what she feels when patience runs out, when hope feels like a joke she told Rutvik too many times.
Rage is deciding she will no longer beg. It is the moment she understands that kindness has limits. That silence is no longer strength. Rage is when love turns hard not cruel and unafraid. When fear steps aside and something stronger takes its place.
Rage is not madness. Rage is clear thinking after pain.
What is justice?
Justice, to me, is not what they teach in law books. It is not the heavy words spoken in courtrooms, or the promises written on paper and forgotten later.
Justice is honesty. Justice is when the truth is not twisted to protect power. When the innocent are not punished for being weak. When pain is seen, acknowledged, and answered not ignored.
To me, justice means balance. If someone is destroyed by lies, those lies must be faced. If a life is caged without reason, that cage must be opened. Not tomorrow, not after years but now.
Justice is not revenge I know this but it is not silence either. Justice is having the courage to stand where it is uncomfortable. To speak when staying quiet would be easier. To choose what is right even when it costs everything.
What is injustice?
Injustice is what Nahella am about to do, because when justice refuses to arrive, when the system looks at suffering and shrugs, something inside Nahella snaps. This is the moment where doing the right thing no longer protects the right people.
Injustice is not always done by the cruel. Sometimes, it is done by the tired. By those who begged, waited, trusted and were still left empty-handed. Injustice is crossing a line not because you want to, but because every other door was locked.
If this is what they will call it, then so be it. Because what I am about to do is born from hatred.
Nahella pulled open the drawer of her study table with shaking fingers. Beneath her old notes and folded papers lay Rutvik's left hand glove. She picked it up slowly, as if it could still feel her touch. She slipped the glove onto her hand, letting it settle against her skin like a vow. Then her eyes lifted. In the corner of the room, resting was the axe. She wrapped her fingers around its handle and without looking back, she dashed out of her room.
