"JESSIE!"

Jessica turned to sound of an angry brunette storming her way. She knew this would happen though it never hurts to remind oneself again. Jessica tried to flee the scene but the hallway was packed with students. Now, she has no choice but to face the angry girl. Tiffany caught up with Jessica and turned her around by grabbing her by the shoulder.

Note to self: Never ditch a curious Tiffany.

"Hey there, Tiff!" Jessica trying to keep her cool and greeted her friend with enthusiasm.

"Enough with that, I told you we were gonna talk about your stalker and where were you?! I've waited for half an hour and you just stood me up! To think that you're my bestfriend."

Students are looking at them already with their confused looks. Faint whispers can be heard throughout  the hallway.

"Tiffany, would you keep it down?! Let's talk about this in the cafeteria, I'm hungry."

"FINE!"

The blonde grabbed the brunette's arm and pulled her towards the cafeteria. Soon as the reached their table, both sat down and started their conversation.

"Talk." Tiffany said clearly showing her displeasure at her friend.

"What do you want to know?"

"EVERYTHING!" Tiffany's outburst cause some students to glance at their table.

"Okay, fine! Can you just not shout? Really, Tiff, that megaphone is getting worse."

The brunette huffed as she was teased again. She sent deathly glares at her bestfriend but the latter was not intimidated.

"Where do I start? Hmm, as told you before, 'Mystery Man' left a note and a rose on my locker. The note says, 'Do you believe in love at first sight?' and I replied on the note. I simply asked who he is. Then there's this guy who gave me a note--"

"Was it him?!" Tiffany squealed interrupting Jessica.

Jessica already knew that her friend is giddy inside. She couldn't blame her. What's happening in her life is something you'd see in a book or in the movies. Those romantic love stories that most teenage girls are yearning for, it's happening to her; a girl that is different than those other girls.

"Would you let me finish first?"

Seeing her friend quiet down and sat properly again. She continued her story.

"The guy gave me a note, no, it wasn't him. 'Mystery Man' said that he can't reveal his identity yet. He wanted to be friends but how can we if I don't know him, right? So, I wrote back. I said, why can't we just see each other than abusing my locker and I asked if he was some kind of stalker."

Jessica stopped as she catch her breath. Tiffany, on the other hand was holding her breath as everything she's hearing is too much to take in.

"What happened next? Come on, don't stop."

"This morning, I got another note. He said he's not a stalker and he's just a really shy guy who was awestrucked by my beauty and something along those lines. He was sorry for opening my locker and that he just wanna be a friend. What should I do, Tiff?'

The brunette sat straight up, pondering for possible things that her best friend should do.

"Did you wrote a reply already?"

The blonde nodded remembering what she wrote on the note.

"Yeah. I wrote that it is unfair, he seeing me and me not seeing him. I also wrote that we should meet up in the Library later at lunch and if he doesn't come, I won't reply to any of his notes anymore."

"Well, maybe you should just wait for him later then. Let's go, it's almost time for the next period."

Both stood up and headed out of the cafeteria and to their respective rooms. It may not be evident to Tiffany's eyes but Jessica was hell nervous about the little meet up in the Library. The thoughts of the possibilities on who 'Mystery Man' really is, is giving her a hard time to concentrate on anything the teacher was discussing.

Just like that, the bell for lunch rang. Jessica didn't seem to notice as one of her classmates nudge her saying it's already lunch time. She headed straight to the Library, slowly moving forward to an empty seat. Her heart was beating crazily, cold sweat trickling down the sides of her face. She hung her head low as she wipe her sweat with her handkerchief.

Then suddenly a shadow cast over her table.
