Tiffany met up with Jessica again when it was their lunch break. Since Jessica isn't the 'friendly on the first day' type, she didn't have anyone to eat with besides Tiffany. Tiffany, on the other hand, was the complete opposite of Jessica. Some of their old friends always ponder how they became best friends. Guess the saying "Opposites attract" is applicable to them.
"So Jessie, anything new happened to you?"
Jessica was curious if it was Tiffany who placed the rose and the note in her locker as the latter seems to know something she wasn't aware of. She was still not sure, though.
"Nope, nothing. Why?" Jessica responded keeping her straight face.
"Nothing~"
Jessica sensed playful teasing in Tiffany's voice hinting that the latter knows something Jessica doesn't. Jessica continued interrogating her friend.
"So, did anything new happened to you, Tiff?" Jessica responded
"It's pretty quiet today, actually."
Not the answer she was hoping to hear. Jessica decided to get straight to the point.
"So, did you invaded my privacy by means of infiltrating my locker without my permission?"
Confusion was plastered in Tiffany's face. Clearly having no clue what Jessica was talking about.
"What are you talking about, Jessie? Why on earth will I do that?"
Tiffany's nervous reply was rather loud and attracted a few students in the cafeteria. No, she wasn't yelling. Her voice is really that loud. Jessica used to tease her that she has a megaphone in her throat when they were little.
"Oh, I don't know! Maybe put a mysterious rose in my locker plus a note that says 'Do you believe in love at first sight?' I mean, seriously? Tell me Tiff, are you turning gay on me?"
Jessica kept her voice low as words that came from her mouth were rather strong. Tiffany was completely confused. Why did her best friend in the whole world suddenly accused her for being gay? Like, seriously?!
"Jessie! Think for god's sake! Why would I go gay for you?! I mean, like, seriously Jessie, we've been best friends since elementary school. I told you every secret I have! Why would I have a crush on you? Just why?!"
Tiffany's ranting somehow knocked some senses into Jessica.
'What the hell am I even thinking? My best friend turning gay? You messed up bad, Jessie.'
Defeated, Jessica drooped back to her seat with her arms under her chin.
"Just tell me, Jessie. Something happened, right? What is it?"
Tiffany could tell whatever happened to her best friend, completely bugged her. If not, Jessica wouldn't be this paranoid to accuse Tiffany for being gay. Concerned, Tiffany placed a hand on Jessica's head and softly stroked her blond hair. The latter let out a heavy sigh before she began explaining
"Tiff, earlier after you left, I went to my locker. I saw a violet rose and note placed on top of my books. As I said a while ago, the note says 'Do you believe in love at first sight?' Of course, I was puzzled plus rage build up in me because someone infiltrated my locker. I thought it was you because you seems to know something happened to me."
"You're like Krystal right now. Over reacting just because you received a rose and a note. Don't you know what a violet rose means, Jessie?"
Jessica shook her head meaning she doesn't know.
"The violet rose is known for its elegance. It represents love at first sight. That would mean someone saw you yesterday and instantly fell in love with you!"
Jessica was deep in her thoughts but still she could hear Tiffany's squealing.
'This girl is really loud.' Jessica thought.
"Tiffany!" Jessica smacked TIffany's shoulder.
The brunette let out a rather loud "Ouch!" followed by a "That hurts, you know!"
"I wouldn't have to slap you if you were trying to keep it down! Gosh, Tiff! You really have that megaphone in your throat. If I were you, I wouldn't scream happily right now."
Tiffany ignored the insult and showed a confused face in front of the blond.
"I don't even know who this guy is. What if he's some kind of greasy nerd? Or an emo kid? Or even a les?"
"You're right. You should reply to the note and ask who he is."
"I did reply on the note."
"Really? Wha-"
The bell rang interrupting their conversation.
"We'll talk about it later. Let's go."
They parted ways as they have different classes.

The bell rang signalling the end of the day. Students' breath of relief was mostly what Jessica heard. It has been quite a long day for her and she really need a long rest. She, as well as the other students, arranged her things in her bag then exited the room, heading towards her locker.
First thing she noticed as soon as she opened her locker was the rose. The note was still there meaning whoever placed the rose and the note didn't opened her locker today.
'Maybe it's some kind of one time joke.' Jessica thought.
Jessica placed her books and notebooks inside then reluctantly grabbed the rose. Suddenly, her locker slammed shut, startling her at he same time dropping her bag and some notebooks and almost crushing her hand after taking the rose. Instantly, she screamed.
"HEEY!! What the hell?! You almost crushed my hand!"
Good thing only a few students are in the hallway. They were startled but they didn't pay that much attention to Jessica. She picked up her things, grabbing the rose in the process, and was about to hit whoever slammed her locker but abruptly stopped mid step. Jessica knew it was hopeless to argue so she tidied herself up then she asked coldly with matching straight face,
"Why did you do that?"
