(BTW This is the beginning of Act One of LND)

|| 3rd Person ||

"That's the place that you ruined you fool!" The girl playing a character named Fleck shouted.

Erik smiled lightly, still holding Christine to his chest tightly. He could feel the King's presence, and was ready to kill at a moments notice.

Landon would get worse than a killing if he dare show himself to him now.

However, Christine was not the only thing occupying his thoughts. What about his children?

After a while, he realized he and Christine had to change for their song.

They want onstage, acting as if that gunshot was a part of the show, with Erik using it to his advantage, singing the song he had wrote when he thought Christine had died.

She was dead.

My Christine was dead.

Lost and gone...

Lost and gone...

The day starts.

The day end.

Time crawls by.

My Christine, dead on the floor?

The moments creep,

But I can't bear to sleep,

Knowing I won't hear you sing.

And weeks pass

And months pass-

Has she died?

Can't she just walk through my door?

And hold me close,

And then just at most,

I could hear her sing once more.

And sometimes, at night times,

I dream that she is there,

but wake holding nothing but the empty air...

And tears come

And tears go.

Eyes grow dry.

Still I ache down to the core.

My broken soul

Can't be alive or whole,

Til I see her wings once more.

And Angel, my Angel,

Has gone behind a veil?

I pray, just to hear her voice,

To no prevail!

If she's died, then I've died,

Just like that.

Without her, I am no more.

Oh sweet Christine,

Come back to me!

Let me hear you sing once more!

He watched her as he sang, seeing her stand completely still, tears in her eyes.

When the song was done, Meg and her "mother" came on stage and sang the next few songs in Mr. Y's office, with Christine crying in the back, trying not to be noticed.

But he did.

Both of them did.

They went through the motions of the scene, trying to picture what their life had been like if this were to had happened.

Then Christine, Raoul, and Christine's cousin, Gustave, came on stage, Gustave acting as Christine and Erik/Raoul's son.

It all went according to plan, with some songs being weird for everyone to watch and listen to, and Christine and Erik pausing after Once Upon Another Time.

"Once upon another time..." They sang, kissing each other lightly, but they weren't supposed to.

"And now..." Erik began.

"How can you talk of now? For us, there is no now."

......

"He's just ten years old...ten years old!"

"Have you ever yearned to go past the world you think you know, been enthralled to the call of the beauty underneath?"

"You can face it? You can take it? You see through to the beauty underneath?"

He watched as Gustave sang, imagining it as Canden.

"You can face it? You can take it? Let me show you the beauty under-"

Screams.

Just like when Canden first saw his old face.

"Gustave?! Please!! It's alright! It's me! Gustave...please take him away."

They sang the song, Erik starting to cry.

Christine then scurried off the stage, never noticing his tears.

"Oh, Christine, my Christine

If it's true, I've no reason to live

Then, Christine, then our boy

Shall have all I can give

Ah, Christine

All I create on this earth

All that I'll never be worth

All shall be his!"

Act Three was over.

He then ran to his dressing room, shutting and locking it. He could feel the old Phantom feelings returning.

His chest heaved and he began to cry.

"Erik?" Christine asked.

"Leave!" Erik yelled.

Then she left his door, to walk around to Lyric and Canden's cribs, where they were both playing.

What was wrong with Erik?

"Shh, it's almost over," she said to herself, putting her head in her hands.

Then she heard the cried of Canden and Lyric.

She whipped around, her dress flying.

There lay a note.

"It's Erik's fault.

Your show is almost over.

So is your life if you don't do exactly as I say.

Tell Erik that your children are missing.

Tell him it's my doing.

Then, tell him you're dying.

Then after the show is over..."
