RECAP:

"Angels! There are angels!" Someone shouted before everyone tried to escape.

"Finally, I was beginning to think this night would end up boring." I said before I ripped off my dress.

That's so much better. Salem gawked at me. I was wearing a black tank top, with black skinny jeans, and combat boots. There were knives fitted between my thighs, and I had more in my boots, but no one needed to know that. I had also hid a gun in the waist of my jeans.

"What the hell are you wearing?!" Salem asked with a grim expression.

"My badass gear, what the hell else would I be wearing?" I said with confidence. He took me by the hand, leading me out of the ballroom. He had a hardness about him, and I'm not talking about his dick.

"Go to the throne room and don't look back. I will be there as soon as the battle is over." He ordered me. His grey eyes were becoming darker, almost as if they were going to turn black. I was going to open my mouth about him order me around, but he beat me to it. "Go dammit! I don't have time to argue with you about this. This is more than you and me. It's for these demons and monsters."

I almost didn't hear the last part because he whispered it. Without another word I started to run for the throne room. Who knows maybe today might be our last day together. "Salem!" I yelled back, "I love you! Hurry back, so you can tell me how much you love me."

It was do or dare, and I was going for both. I found the balcony entrance. Before I went to the throne room, I poked my head back in the ballroom. The tables were destroyed and there were feathers. Everywhere. It was like someone ripped up pillows, then started throwing them around.

"You'll never find her!" I heard a familiar voice shout. I turned and saw Salem seething with his teeth clenched together. There was a gentle laughter, but it was humorless.

"I'm only doing what's right, Salem. Try and understand, but if you can't I can always kill you instead." The woman voice said. Who the hell does she thinks she is?!

"Then, I shall die for her, like you instructed me to do." He said bravely with a smirk, "But, then again, she would want me alive. So, how do you want to die? I don't have much time. We were having a moment, before you birds ruined it!"

I stayed where I was, hoping no one would spot me. Were they talking about me? Who is this woman, and why does she want me dead?

Something, or someone, was hiding behind my destroyed gifts. This was my chance. I thought of fire leaving my eyes in a beam, shooting into the person's body. At first it would start from his heart, then spread throughout his body. He would feel as if someone lit his insides on fire.

Not even a moment later screams filled the ballroom.

The woman chuckled, "So she's here. Come out you little snake. Viper." My breath hitched. "We should play a game. Don't you think?" I'm pretty sure she doesn't want to play monopoly, so I'm going to pass.

I slowly started backing up. "Ompf."

"Well, well. Didn't Salem say you were suppose to be hiding?" A male voice said, "Come on, Princess. I will hide you."

Without another thought or word, he took me away. Dizziness over came my body as I tried to walk.

"Adam?" I asked confused. He was covered in blood. His hair was still perfectly slicked back. He smiled showing his fangs.

"In the dead flesh. You know, because I'm a vampire." His eyes twinkled with humor. I gave him a small smile. "I know I can't become your guardian, but I can be your knight." He put his over his heart, gently took my right hand, and kissed my knuckles. "I give you my life, Princess of Darkness."

"Then I will gladly take it." A voice boomed throughout the room. A voice so innocent sounding you would think it was just a joke. Just an empty death threat, but I knew it was anything but. I knew it was her.

Ever so slowly, I turned to face an angel. Literally and physically. Her eyes were a warm brown, almost like honey. Brown waves flowed down to her stomach, caressing the milky skin she was endowed with. All in all, she was very beautiful in my eyes.

Not to mention the huge ass wings on her back. She must have a lot of back pains. "Who are you? What do you want?" I asked curiously. To many questions were running through my head. Why did I want to rip her heart out, and hug her at the same time?

A smile appeared on her perfect features, making her even more beautiful. "I'm your mother, and also the person who's going to kill you."

"Who said I planned on dying anytime soon?"

"God, your heavenly father."

"Well, tell my heavenly father I'll die when I choose to." I sneered. No one's going to take my life as long as I can fight. Strike me with lighting, I'll still fight till my last breath. Try and drown me, I'll learn to swim to the top. I'll die trying to live.

"You have no choice!" She spat. Her features had become hard and dark.

"Neither do you. Call off the war or die. People are dying and time is ticking. I was going to open my presents, but you destroyed them. Though, kicking your ass might just be the greatest present yet." I smirked.

"Alice." My father's voice said. He was still a skeleton.

"Death." She said with no emotion. How could the two people who had me, be so distant now. Love can't just fail like that, can it? Wasn't it suppose to last through the good and the bad? In sickness and health? For richer or for rich?

"Leave our daughter out of this. She is innocent in this madness." He said.

"She won't be. Soon she will take your throne. A demon's child is never innocent." Well excuse me, you're the one who gave birth to me lady. Alice walked up to my father. Her eyes meeting his sockets, and then something flashed through her. "D-death?" She stuttered.

"Alice, is that you?" Father asked surprised. I'm pretty sure if he had eyebrows they would be raised, and his eyes would be popping out his sockets. My mother ran into my father's arms while tears fell down her cheek.

I would have believed it. Only I couldn't. Something wasn't right. She wasn't right. Before I could say anything she spoke. "I would say my acting skills are magnificent wouldn't you?" She smirked pulling away.

Father was just standing there. Almost as if he was paralyzed. Then, he was on fire, his bones becoming ashes. Death. My father. Was killed right in front of my eyes within a blink of an eye.
